FUOYE Mgmt. Debunks Misleading Claims on Radiography Accreditation

The attention of the Management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has been drawn to a viral post circulated by the Students’ Union Government and some Radiography students regarding the accreditation status of the Radiography programme.

For the avoidance of doubt:

▪ Radiography currently enjoys INTERIM accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC). This does not in any way hinder students from attending lectures, sitting for examinations, graduating, or pursuing their careers. The NUC will revisit the programme in due course.

▪ It is also important to clarify that professional accreditation has been suspended nationwide by a directive of the Federal Ministry of Education (FME). Only a few professional courses were approved by FME for accreditation in all Nigerian universities.

▪ Consequently, the claims regarding licensing and professional examinations as alleged in the viral post are misleading, null, and void.
