The National Youth Service Corps , NYSC has Announced Procedure for Date of Birth Corrections 

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released its guidelines for correcting discrepancies in Date of Birth on its mobilization portal, aiming to simplify the process for prospective corps members.

▪ Obtain WAEC Verification Pin: Acquire a 19 or 20-digit WAEC Verification Pin from any branch of First Bank or through authorized outlets.

▪ Registration and Dashboard Access: After obtaining your pin, complete the NYSC registration process. Once submitted, log into your NYSC dashboard to access further options.

▪ Access Date of Birth Correction: Click on the ‘Correction of Date of Birth’ link available on your dashboard to begin the correction process.

▪ Enter Details for Verification:

1. WAEC Verification Pin: Input the purchased pin.
2. WAEC Type: Select the WAEC examination type (e.g., WASSCE).
3. Year of Exam: Enter the year you sat for the exam.
4. Examination Number: Provide your WAEC exam number.

▪ Verification and Finalization:

1. Click on the Verify Button to confirm details against WAEC records.

2. After verification, choose to either submit the correction request or cancel if necessary.

This initiative is designed to reduce administrative errors and ensure prospective corps members have accurate personal information before camp registration, as last-minute corrections may cause complications during service.
