The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) has commenced its Post-UTME Admission Screening Exercise for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

All candidates who selected FUTMINNA as their preferred institution are advised to carefully read the admission screening procedures, eligibility requirements, and application guidelines before proceeding with the registration process.

Applicants are required to provide accurate and verifiable information during registration. Any false declaration, falsification of records, or act of impersonation will result in immediate disqualification from the admission exercise.

FUTMINNA 2026/2027 O'LEVEL & UTME REQUIREMENTS

GENERAL NOTICE

All candidates are strongly advised to carefully review the O'Level and UTME subject requirements for their preferred programmes before completing the University Pre-Admission Screening Exercise (UPASE). Candidates who do not meet the required subject combinations may be considered ineligible and may need to apply for a Change of Course (COC) where applicable.

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

UTME REQUIREMENTS

▪ Candidates must possess the required UTME subject combination for their chosen programme.

▪ Candidates must meet or exceed the approved departmental cut-off mark for their programme.

▪ Candidates must ensure that their UTME subjects align with the programme requirements as specified by the University.

O'LEVEL REQUIREMENTS

▪ Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

▪ O'Level results must be obtained from recognized examination bodies such as WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or equivalent.

▪ Candidates must ensure that all required subjects for their chosen programme are included in their O'Level results.

ACCESSING THE UPASE PORTAL

Candidates are required to access the FUTMINNA 2026/2027 UPASE Portal through the University's official website.

To begin:

▪ Visit the official Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) website.

▪ Locate and click on the UPASE application link on the homepage or admission section.

▪ Click on "View O'Level/UTME Requirements and Cut-Off Marks" to review the screening requirements and departmental cut-off marks.

▪ After reviewing the requirements, log in using your JAMB Registration Number as your username and any one of your registered names as your password.

▪ Click "Continue to Application" to proceed whether you are a new or returning candidate.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR CANDIDATES WHO CHANGED INSTITUTION

▪ Candidates who recently changed their institution of choice through JAMB are advised to contact the FUTMINNA Admissions Call Centre or wait three (3) to four (4) working days for their details to be updated on the portal before attempting to log in.

UPDATING YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS

After your details have been verified and authenticated, you will be required to provide the following:

▪ Valid Email Address

▪ Active Phone Number

▪ Current Contact Address

Candidates should ensure all information provided is accurate and up-to-date, as it will be used for all official communications regarding their application.

VERIFYING YOUR JAMB REQUIREMENTS

Before proceeding to payment, candidates are advised to verify the following:

▪ JAMB Subjects – Ensure the subjects registered in JAMB align with the requirements for your chosen programme.

▪ JAMB Score – Confirm that your score meets or exceeds the minimum cut-off mark for your programme.

▪ UTME Core Subject Requirements – Verify that you satisfy the required core subjects for your programme.

▪ Optional Subject Requirements – Some programmes require additional subjects; ensure you meet these requirements.

▪ O'Level Requirements – Confirm that your O'Level grades and subject combinations satisfy the programme requirements.

IF YOU DO NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS

▪ Candidates who do not meet the admission requirements for their chosen programme should select a suitable alternative programme from the suggestions available on the portal.

▪ All remaining registration steps can only be completed after payment of the applicable screening fee.

SCREENING FEE PAYMENT

FEE SUMMARY

▪ UTME/DE Screening Fee – ₦2,000 (All Candidates)

▪ Change of Programme (COP) Fee – ₦1,000 (Candidates changing programme only)

HOW TO MAKE PAYMENT

▪ Click on the Payment Link located on the left side of the portal dashboard.

▪ Click the "Pay Now" button to generate your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number.

▪ Note down the generated RRR and proceed.

▪ Click the "REQUERY / Pay Now" button to launch the Remita Payment Gateway.

▪ Follow the instructions on the Remita platform to complete payment using any available method such as Debit Card, Internet Banking, Transfer, or USSD.

▪ After successful payment, print your payment receipt for future reference.

CHANGE OF PROGRAMME (COP)

▪ Candidates changing their programme will be redirected to make an additional payment of ₦1,000.

▪ Under the "Wish to Pay" dropdown menu, select "Change of Course".

▪ Complete payment using the same Remita process.

COMPLETING YOUR APPLICATION

REQUIREMENT CHECK

After payment, the portal will automatically verify your eligibility.

ELIGIBLE

▪ Candidates who meet all JAMB and programme requirements will be allowed to proceed with the application process.

NOT ELIGIBLE

▪ Candidates who do not meet the requirements must change to a suitable programme before proceeding.

▪ Payment of the Change of Course (COC) fee is compulsory before continuing.

▪ Candidates should carefully consider their O'Level subject combinations and grades before selecting a new programme.

To upload documents:

▪ Click the "UPLOAD DOCUMENTS" button on the application page.

▪ Select the appropriate document title or category from the list provided.

▪ Browse and select the correct file.

▪ Click the Upload button and wait for confirmation.
