Babcock University Expels Student for Drug Dealing and Occult Practices

Babcock University Dismisses Student Over Gross Misconduct

Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, has dismissed Oladipupo Siwajuola for what it described as a “gross violation of university rules.”

The sudden disappearance of the student had earlier sparked national concern and public outcry, especially from his mother, who accused the university of negligence and complicity in the matter.

However, in an official statement released on Wednesday, the university’s Director of Marketing and Communication, Dr. Joshua Suleiman, revealed that Oladipupo was expelled after a thorough internal investigation uncovered a string of serious infractions. These included impersonation, drug peddling, and engaging in occult practices commonly linked to internet fraud rituals, often referred to as “Yahoo Yahoo Plus.”

Dr. Suleiman stated:

“Following his confession and the findings of the Disciplinary Committee, Babcock University found him guilty of multiple offences, including:

  1. Unauthorised campus exit

  2. Possession and use of fetish materials

  3. Drug peddling

  4. Impersonation and dishonesty

  5. Unauthorised sale of personal property.”

He added that the decision to dismiss Oladipupo was made in line with the university’s disciplinary policy, which aims to maintain a safe and morally upright learning environment.

The statement emphasized that Oladipupo had left the campus without proper authorisation, contrary to the claim by his mother that he had been abducted and later “found” by his secondary school friends.

Instead, the university disclosed that Oladipupo had been staying in Lagos with a friend named Sodiq. His location was reportedly discovered by Sodiq’s mother, who, upon learning about the widespread online drama surrounding the disappearance, returned him to his family.

This directly contradicts the earlier narrative presented by Oladipupo’s mother.

Upon his return to school on May 15, accompanied by his father, Oladipupo gave a voluntary and detailed statement to the university’s Security Services Department, which was later corroborated before the Disciplinary Committee.

According to the statement, he admitted to purchasing and using fetish substances from a traditional herbalist for nearly ₦100,000—a confession that further contradicted the initial claims made on his behalf.
