JAMB Releases 2026 UTME Results (Day 4), Warns Against Score Manipulation

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the results of all candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on 16, 17, 18  & 20 April, 2026,  can now check their UTME Result.

The Results for candidates who wrote the 2026 UTME exam are now available

We have confirmed that the 2026 UTME results for April 16th, April 17th, April 18th, April 20th are now available for candidates to check. This was confirmed by various candidates on Our JAMB Information Board Platform, where some results were shared. 

According to the Board, candidates can now access their results by sending “UTMERESULT” via SMS to either 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number registered during the examination process.

Candidates who took part in the 2026 UTME on April 16th, April 17th, April 18th & April 20th  can proceed to check your result using the SMS method as provided in the instructions below:

HOW TO CHECK YOUR RESULT (SMS METHOD)

▪ Create an SMS with two words together "UTMERESULT"
▪ Send it to 55019 or 66019
▪ Use the same phone number used during registration
▪ Ensure you have at least ₦50 airtime balance
▪ This is the only method available at this time

At this time, candidates may view their results only; printing is not yet available.

Easily access your result using the button below, it redirects you directly to your SMS messaging app with a prefilled message which after being sent provides your result. 

At this stage, only result viewing is available, as printing of result slips has not yet been enabled.

JAMB emphasised that the UTME exercise is still ongoing, adding that additional batches of results will be released progressively as marking and processing continue.

WARNING AGAINST RESULT MANIPULATION

JAMB issued a stern warning against any attempts to manipulate or falsify results
▪ Candidates are cautioned against altering SMS messages received from official platforms
▪ This includes misrepresenting scores to parents, guardians, or others

Describing such actions as a serious criminal offence, JAMB disclosed that it has already taken action against offenders.

▪ Two candidates and one parent are currently in custody
▪ Offence involved result falsification using AI and other electronic means

The Board reiterated that anyone found guilty of such misconduct would face the full weight of the law.

RELEASE OF 1ST, 2ND, 3RD & 4th BATCH RESULTS

The results of candidates who sat the examination on April 16th, April 17th, April 18th, April 20th have now been released. 

To view  their results, candidates should send UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the phone (SIM) number they used to register for the 2026 UTME.

EXAM STRUCTURE

▪ The 2026 UTME runs until 22 April 2026
▪ The exam is conducted in four daily sessions
▪ Sessions run from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
▪ About 2.2 million candidates are participating
▪ Conducted across 966 accredited CBT centres

Each centre must meet operational standards such as:

▪ Functional computer systems
▪ Stable internet connectivity
▪ Reliable electricity
▪ Trained personnel
