GSU Admission List 2025/2026 Is Out [UPDATED]

LATEST UPDATE: The Gombe State University, GSU Admission List for the 2025/2026 Session is not yet out. 

This is to inform the general public, especially candidates who participated in the Gombe State University (GSU) Post UTME Screening Exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session, that the Provisional Admission List of successful UTME candidates has been released.

Admitted candidates are advised to carefully follow the instructions below to confirm and process their admission.

How to Check GSU Admission Status

As of the time of this publication, the GSU prospective students can only check their admission status from the JAMB Portal. 

Steps to Check Admission Status on JAMB Portal

To check your status on the JAMB CAPS Portal, follow these steps:

▪ Go to https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.

▪ Log in to your JAMB profile using your username and password.

▪ Scroll down to find and click on the Check Admission Status tab.

▪ Click on Admission Status, or Access my CAPS.

▪ Select the three-dotted lines (⋮) at the top right of your browser and tick Desktop site.

▪ Then click on admission status again.

You will see one of the following statuses:

▪ CONGRATULATIONS… If you see this, you should accept or reject your admission and wait for further instructions.

▪ admission in progress check back later. If you see this, be patient as the status should change in a few days or weeks.

▪ Not Admitted. If this is your status, the article advises you not to give up hope as you might still gain admission.

Steps After Admission

If you find yourself among the lucky ones, there are still duties to perform:

▪ Send ACCEPT or REJECT as an SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number linked to your JAMB profile
▪ Once accepted, print your JAMB admission letter – it will be required for clearance and registration

Not Yet Admitted?

▪ The admission list is uploaded on the JAMB portal as it is processed
▪ Keep checking the JAMB website regularly for updates

On GSU Admission Portal

Soon, the admission list will also be available on the University’s portal. To check:

▪ Visit www.gsu.edu.ng
▪ Click on the “Registration” link and select “Undergraduate”
▪ Login with your JAMB Registration Number as username and gsu2025 as default password
▪ Complete your personal profile information
▪ Click on “Pay Registration Fee” and make payment either online or at designated banks
▪ After successful payment, proceed to access your Registration Details Form
▪ A new Registration Number will be generated for you – use it as your username with the default password “gsu2025” to log in again and change your password
▪ Click on the “Course Registration” link to complete your registration

Clearance Exercise Requirements

Candidates are to come with both original and photocopies of the following documents for clearance:

▪ Coloured JAMB Result Slip
▪ Coloured JAMB Admission Letter
▪ Gombe State University Admission Letter
▪ Original and photocopies of O’level Certificates or Statement of Results
▪ Local Government Indigene Certificate
▪ Birth Certificate / Declaration of Age
▪ One (1) scratch card for each O’level result tendered
▪ Ten (10) recent passport-size coloured photographs

Important Notice

▪ Candidates are strongly advised to use a desktop mode when checking on CAPS with mobile phones for complete display of admission details.
▪ Admission lists are released in batches. Candidates should keep checking JAMB CAPS and the University’s portal regularly.
▪ Only payments made via the official University portal are valid.
