ABU Important Update on 2025/2026 Admission Exercise

ABU Zaria Notice on Upload of O’Level Results and Change of Programmes on JAMB Portal for 2025/2026 Admission Process.

The Management of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has released a notice regarding the upload of O’Level results and change of programmes for the 2025/2026 admission process.

NOTICE TO CANDIDATES

Sequel to the release of the first list of the 2025/2026 admission, the University Management hereby invites candidates who secured admission to:

▪ Accept the offer of admission and print their JAMB Admission Letter via the JAMB portal/CAPS immediately.

It has been observed that many candidates have been recommended for admission by their faculties but have not uploaded their O’Level results on the JAMB CAPS.

▪ Candidates are therefore directed to immediately upload their O’Level results to enable the University to complete their admission process.

PROGRAMMES WITH OVER-SUBSCRIBED SPACES

The following programmes are oversubscribed and no longer have available slots:

▪ Architecture
▪ MBBS
▪ Dental Surgery
▪ Nursing Science
▪ Medical Radiography
▪ Computer Engineering
▪ Civil Engineering and Mechatronics
▪ Civil Law
▪ Shariah Islamic Law
▪ International Studies and Mass Communication

PROGRAMMES WITH AVAILABLE SPACES

Candidates who were not admitted into the over-subscribed programmes are advised to change to programmes with available spaces as listed below.

For candidates with a combination of Geography, Mathematics and Physics:

▪ Regional Planning / Sustainable Development

For candidates with a combination of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry:

Candidates are strongly advised to make these changes immediately to avoid forfeiture of their admission status.

IMPORTANT DEADLINES

▪ In compliance with the 2025/2026 admission policy decision, the admission exercise will close on 31st October, 2025.
▪ Candidates not admitted into over-subscribed programmes such as Architecture, MBBS, Nursing Science, Doctor of Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Radiography, Dental Surgery, Civil Law, Shariah Islamic Law, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mass Communication and International Studies must change to other relevant programmes with available spaces before this deadline.
▪ Staff, parents/guardians and others who presented admission requests but could not secure the initial programmes and were asked to change to another programme are advised to effect the change before Friday, 24th October 2025; otherwise, the slots will be allocated to other candidates.
