The University of Calabar has released its official academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session. The schedule outlines important dates for both new and returning students.

First Semester (September 2025 – February 2026)

September 22, 2025	Screening and registration for new students begins
September 23, 2025	Returning students arrive on campus
September 25, 2025	Lectures begin for all students
September 29, 2025	Solemn Assembly
October 9-10, 2025	Freshers' Orientation
December 5, 2025	Matriculation Ceremony
December 19, 2025	Christmas break begins
January 9, 2026	Students resume from Christmas break
January 12, 2026	Revision begins
January 19, 2026	GSS exams begin
January 26, 2026	Other course examinations begin
February 20, 2026	First semester officially ends

Second Semester (March 2026 – July 2026)

March 13, 2026	Students return to campus
March 23, 2026	Lectures resume (following registration for 500-level Stream B students)
March 23-28, 2026	38th Convocation Ceremony
May 4-8, 2026	Continuous assessment for all students
June 8, 2026	Revision begins
June 15 - July 13, 2026	Exams take place
July 14, 2026	Session officially ends, and long vacation begins
