UI Hostel Accommodation: Payment Procedure & Deadline 2025/2026 [UPDATED]

 University of Ibadan, UI Hostel Accommodation Fees & Payment Deadline for 2025/2026 Academic Session. You will also see how to apply for the accommodation. This is for the newly admitted students.

University of Ibadan has opened the portal for payment of hostel accommodation fees for newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The Student Affairs Division has also announced the commencement of applications for accommodation in the undergraduate Halls of Residence.

This information is strictly for newly admitted students.

Latest Update for Fresh Students

The University is aware of the challenges being experienced on the Accommodation Module of the UI Portal (https://studentportal.ui.edu.ng/login). Efforts are ongoing to resolve the issues.

Students are advised to note the following:

▪ The Halls of Residence will receive only fresh students from Monday 2 to Wednesday 4 March 2026.
▪ Fresh students experiencing challenges in paying Hall Fees and Hall Dues are advised to be patient while the issues are being resolved.
▪ Only students who have been allocated rooms online will be attended to in the Halls of Residence.
▪ Students must complete the process and print their Room Allocation Sheet and ID Card before coming to claim a space.
▪ There is a bedspace for every fresh student who pays the Hall Fees and Hall Dues. Students must wait until room allocation is completed before coming to the Hall.

Payment and Room Allocation Process

▪ Once an application is approved by the Hall Warden, the status changes from “Registered” to “Accepted.”
▪ Students are required to pay their Hall Fee and Basic Hall Dues through the university portal.
▪ Payment of Basic Hall Dues is compulsory.
▪ Optional Hall Dues are at the discretion of the student.
▪ After payment confirmation, the status changes to “Paid.”
▪ A room will then be assigned by the Hall Warden.
▪ Students must print their Accommodation Slip and Hall Identity Card in colour.
▪ Room keys will only be issued upon presentation of these documents.
