JAMB 2026 Registration: UTME/DE Form Sale, Exam Dates [UPDATED]

 The date for 2026 JAMB Registration has been announced. Check it out and please share this page with your friends. 

The JAMB UTME/DE registration procedure and process flow for the 2026 exercise have been announced. The sale of e-PINs for UTME registration begins on Monday, 19th January, 2026, and ends on Thursday, 26th February, 2026, while registration begins Monday, 26th January, 2026 and ends Saturday, 28th February, 2026.

Direct Entry e-PIN vending and registration will begin on Monday, 2nd March, 2026 and end by Saturday, 25th April, 2026.

Before proceeding, candidates are advised to read all preparations required for the 2026 registration as well as the complete details provided on this page.

Applications are invited from suitably-qualified candidates for admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria for the 2026/2027 academic session.

1.0 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

▪ Admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria is open to candidates who meet the minimum entry requirements approved by the Federal Government.
▪ Candidates seeking admission must satisfy the minimum requirements for UTME and Direct Entry as prescribed by the institutions and regulatory bodies.

2.0 ELIGIBILITY FOR 2026 UTME

▪ Candidates who will not be less than sixteen (16) years of age by 30th September, 2026 are eligible.
▪ Candidates who are below 16 years of age may be considered for admission only if they score exceptionally high marks as determined by JAMB.

3.0 REGISTRATION PERIOD

▪ Registration for the 2026 UTME and Direct Entry will commence as announced by the Board.
▪ Candidates are advised to complete their registration early to avoid last-minute challenges.

▪ UTME registration (including foreign centres): 26th January – 28th February, 2026
▪ UTME e-PIN vending: 19th January – 26th February, 2026
▪ DE e-PIN vending and registration: 2nd March – 25th April, 2026 (State & Zonal Offices only)

▪ Candidates must possess valid and functional personal e-mail addresses.

4.0 REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

▪ Candidates are to create their profile by sending their National Identification Number (NIN) via SMS to 55019 or 66019 from their personal GSM numbers.
▪ A Profile Code of ten (10) characters will be received and used for registration.
▪ Candidates should proceed to any accredited CBT centre to complete registration.

STEP-BY-STEP PROFILE CREATION

▪ Each candidate must use a unique phone number (SIM).
▪ Send NIN space 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019.
▪ A 10-character Profile Code will be received.
▪ Profile code remains permanent for future applications.
▪ JAMB does not allow SIM change after profile creation.

5.0 FEES PAYABLE

FEES AND CHARGES

▪ JAMB maintains a cashless registration system for the 2026 UTME/DE exercise.
▪ Centralized collection of third-party fees will continue with weekly remittances to beneficiaries.

Categories of e-PINs

▪ Direct Entry – ₦5,700
▪ UTME without Mock – ₦7,200
▪ UTME with Mock – ₦8,700

▪ UTME/DE Application Fee – ₦3,500
▪ Reading Text – ₦1,000
▪ CBT Centre Registration Service Charge – ₦700
▪ CBT Centre UTME Service Charge – ₦1,500
▪ Bank Charges – ₦500
▪ CBT Mock-UTME Charge – ₦1,500

▪ Candidates must specify the e-PIN type at purchase point.
No refund will be made.

6.0 MOCK EXAMINATION (OPTIONAL)

▪ Candidates who wish to sit for the mock examination may indicate during registration.
▪ The mock examination is optional and attracts an additional fee.

7.0 EXAMINATION DATES

▪ The 2026 UTME examination will hold nationwide at accredited CBT centres.
▪ Exact dates and time will be communicated to candidates via their registration slips.

8.0 BIOMETRIC VERIFICATION

▪ Biometric verification is mandatory for all candidates at the CBT centres.
▪ Any candidate who fails biometric verification will not be allowed to sit for the examination.

BIOMETRIC INTEGRITY AND ANTI-IMPERSONATION WARNING

▪ Candidates must ensure that only their ten (10) fingers are captured individually and correctly at the CBT Centre.

9.0 CHANGE OF COURSE OR INSTITUTION

▪ Candidates may effect change of course and or institution within the approved window on the JAMB portal.
▪ Changes are subject to applicable fees and regulations.

10.0 ADMISSION PROCESS

▪ Admission is processed through the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
▪ Candidates must accept or reject their admission offers on CAPS within the stipulated time.

11.0 WARNING AGAINST EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE

▪ JAMB will not tolerate examination malpractice in any form.
▪ Candidates involved in malpractice will be sanctioned according to JAMB regulations.

12.0 IMPORTANT NOTICE

▪ Candidates are advised to keep their login details confidential.
▪ Registration should only be done at accredited CBT centres.
▪ JAMB will not be responsible for errors arising from false information supplied by candidates.

AGE REQUIREMENTS AND UNDERAGE CANDIDATES

▪ Only candidates who will not be less than 16 years old by 30th September, 2026 are eligible to apply.
▪ Candidates below 16 years by the stipulated date will undergo an intensive evaluation to determine eligibility for a waiver.
▪ Such candidates must score not less than 80% in each of UTME/A’LEVEL, PUTME, SSCE and the exceptional candidate assessment.
▪ UTME results of underage candidates will be released only after completion of the evaluation process.

BIODATA POLICY

▪ Once a candidate completes 2026 registration using biodata supplied by NIMC, no further change will be effected by JAMB.
NO CHANGE WILL BE TOLERATED.
▪ For 2026, changes in previous data by NIMC will only be updated on existing JAMB records through a RE-QUERY process (TEMPL007) during registration.
▪ Replaced data shall be tracked and reflected as footnotes on candidates’ profiles and slips.

MULTIPLE NIN AND DOUBLE REGISTRATION

▪ Use of multiple NINs by a candidate for double registration or impersonation is strictly prohibited and will attract severe sanctions.

GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

UTME (100 LEVEL DEGREE / ND / NCE)

▪ Degree: Minimum of 5 credits, including English, obtained in not more than two sittings. Mathematics is compulsory for Science, Technology and Social Sciences.
▪ ND/NCE: Minimum of 4 credits including English (non-science) or Mathematics (science).

DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

▪ Minimum of 5 O’Level credits at not more than two sittings, with at least two at Principal or Advanced level.
▪ Other acceptable qualifications include Degree, ND, HND, NCE, IJMB, JUPEB, NABTEB (ANBC/ANTC), Cambridge A-Level, IB, Foreign GCE A-Level and other approved qualifications.
▪ Awarding institutions must forward verification to JAMB before registration completion.

OTHER VITAL DE RULES

▪ Awaiting result candidates must upload relevant templates at registration.
▪ DE candidates will not be processed until results are uploaded and verified.
▪ Statement of result is valid only within 3 years (NCE: 1 year).
▪ Upgrade from UTME to DE is allowed under specified conditions.
▪ Candidates must monitor verification status on e-Facility.

ADDITIONAL REGISTRATION RULES

▪ Multiple registrations are not allowed.
▪ Registration is only valid at JAMB-accredited CBT Centres.
▪ Proxy registration is prohibited.
▪ Disclosure of previous admission status is compulsory.

ORDER OF INSTITUTION CHOICE

▪ First choice may be University, Polytechnic/Monotechnic, College of Education, NDA or Police Academy.

CBT REGISTRATION PROCESS

▪ Candidate presents Profile Code and e-PIN at CBT Centre.
▪ Biometrics (10 fingers) and photograph are captured physically.
▪ Group or school-based registration is prohibited.
▪ Only candidates with successful biometric verification can sit exams.

FOREIGN CENTRES

▪ UTME is conducted in Abidjan, Accra, Banjul, Beau, Cotonou, Jeddah, Johannesburg, London, Malabo and Ouagadougou.
▪ Registration fee is $30 or local equivalent.

UTME EXAMINATION DATES

▪ UTME holds Thursday, 16th April – Saturday, 25th April, 2026.
▪ Mock-UTME holds Saturday, 28th March, 2026.

PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES (PWDs)

▪ Blind, Deaf/Mute, Albino, Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Amputees and others must indicate status.
▪ Registration fees are fully refunded to Blind, Deaf and Wheelchair candidates who meet requirements.

GENERAL INFORMATION

▪ Registration fee is non-refundable.
▪ All candidates will be tested on the novel “The Lekki Headmaster” by Kabir Alabi Garba.
▪ Prohibited items include phones, watches, earphones and electronic devices.
▪ Examination malpractice is a criminal offence.
▪ Admission is valid only through JAMB CAPS and e-Facility.

▪ All candidates are advised to adhere strictly to the guidelines provided.
▪ The Board reserves the right to amend any information where necessary.
