MAUTECH Announces Available Slots for 2025/2026 Change of Course

 Modibbo Adama University Available Courses for 2025/2026 Admission Exercises

Modibbo Adama University has observed that some candidate admissions have been approved but not yet accepted, and candidates are strongly advised to do so immediately to avoid losing their slots.

It was also noted that some candidates have no results on their portals and should visit any JAMB CBT-accredited center to upload their O’ Level results. Candidates who initially changed their programmes are urged to check their JAMB CAPS portals to ensure such changes did not affect their O’ Level records, to facilitate faster admission processing.

Sequel to the extension of the deadline for admission of applicants to public institutions by JAMB, the Admission Office, Modibbo Adama University (MAU) Yola, hereby calls on applicants NOT ADMITTED in over-subscribed programmes to immediately change to programmes with similar JAMB subject combinations and ‘O’ Level requirements that have available admission spaces.

Any staff or applicant making an admission request MUST ensure that candidates are transferred to programmes with available spaces accordingly and appropriately before making further requests.

Applicants NOT ADMITTED but who meet the requirements for their applied programmes should check their profiles to ensure that their ‘O’ Level results are uploaded.

Additionally, applicants making transfers from one programme to another should view their profiles to confirm that their ‘O’ Levels remain intact after such transfer or change of programme.

List of Possible Mobility of Students from Over-Subscribed Programmes to Those with Available Spaces

▪ S/N 1 – Programmes (with over-subscription):
MBBS, Nursing, Microbiology, Laboratory Technology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences.
Programmes with Available Admission Slots/Spaces:
Agricultural Economics and Extension, Crop Production and Horticulture, Fisheries, Soil Science, Food Science and Technology, Forestry and Wildlife, Animal Science and Range Management (Animal), Biotechnology, Plant Science, Geology, and other programmes with similar ‘O’ Level requirements and JAMB subject combinations.

▪ S/N 2 – Programme (with over-subscription):
Computer Science.
Programmes with Available Admission Slots/Spaces:
Operation Research, Statistics, Mathematics, Mathematics with Economics, Physics, Chemistry, and other programmes with similar ‘O’ Level requirements and JAMB subject combinations.
Note: Direct Entry (DE) candidates NOT ADMITTED in Computer Science should also transfer as above.

▪ S/N 3 – Programmes (with over-subscription):
Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering.
Programmes with Available Admission Slots/Spaces:
Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural and Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Technology Education, Construction Technology Education, and other programmes with similar ‘O’ Level requirements and JAMB subject combinations.

▪ S/N 4 – Programme (with over-subscription):
Architecture.
Programmes with Available Admission Slots/Spaces:
Surveying and Geoinformatics, Industrial Design, Building, and other programmes with similar ‘O’ Level requirements and JAMB subject combinations.
Applicants with Mathematics and Geography in their JAMB subject combinations can change to Urban and Regional Planning or other related programmes.
Note: DE students in Architecture can only be admitted into Geography.

▪ S/N 5 – Programmes (with over-subscription):
Both Law Programmes.
Programmes with Available Admission Slots/Spaces:
Political Science, Sociology, Library and Information Science, and other programmes with similar ‘O’ Level requirements and JAMB subject combinations.
Note: Applicants without Government in their JAMB subjects and O’ Level results can only change to Library and Information Science.

▪ S/N 6 – Programmes (with over-subscription):
Accounting, Economics, Management Technology, Banking and Finance, Information Technology, and Business Education (with Mathematics and Economics in JAMB subject combination and O’ Levels).
Programmes with Available Admission Slots/Spaces:
Accounting, Sociology (ONLY for those with Government in JAMB subject combination and O’ Levels), and Library and Information Science.
Note: Candidates in Information Technology with science-based JAMB subject combinations but without Economics and Mathematics in their O’ Levels should change to programmes that can accommodate their JAMB subject combinations and O’ Level requirements.

NB: Such changes/transfers MUST be completed/concluded on or before November 14, 2025.
