The College of Nursing Sciences, University of Uyo Teaching Hospital (UUTH), Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, has officially announced the commencement of its admission process for suitably qualified candidates into the National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing programmes for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

This announcement was made by the office of the Registrar, calling on interested candidates who aspire to build a rewarding career in the field of Nursing Sciences to take advantage of this opportunity to enroll in one of Nigeria’s foremost health training institutions.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for admission into the ND/HND Nursing programmes, applicants must meet the following conditions:

▪ Candidates must have participated in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtained a minimum score of 170.
▪ Applicants must possess five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics obtained in not more than two sittings in WAEC, GCE, SSCE, or NECO examinations.
▪ Candidates who meet the above requirements are encouraged to apply promptly to avoid missing the application deadline.

How to Apply for UNIUYO Teaching Hospital ND/HND Nursing Form

Interested and qualified candidates should follow the steps below:

▪ Obtain the application form after paying a non-refundable fee of ₦30,000 only.
▪ Payment should be made directly to the Bursary Department of the College of Nursing Sciences, University of Uyo Teaching Hospital.

Upon obtaining the form, applicants must present the following documents at registration:

▪ Three (3) recent coloured passport photographs.
▪ Photocopies of all relevant academic credentials.
▪ Printed copy of JAMB result slip showing the candidate’s UTME score.

▪ Form Collection and Submission: Monday, 3rd November – Friday, 14th November, 2025.
▪ Late submission will not be entertained.

Post-UTME Screening Exercise

▪ Date: Monday, 17th November, 2025
▪ Venue: College Auditorium, University of Uyo Teaching Hospital premises
▪ Time: 9:00 a.m. prompt

During the screening exercise, candidates must present:

▪ Proof of payment for the application form.
▪ A copy of the registration slip.
▪ JAMB printout as evidence of UTME participation.

Applicants are advised to arrive early, be neatly dressed, and avoid bringing any electronic gadgets or unauthorized materials into the hall.
