MAUTECH Important Update on 2025/2026 Admission Exercise

Modibbo Adama University Updates Undergraduate Admission Process.

Modibbo Adama University has released an important update on its undergraduate admission process for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The University observed that some candidates’ admissions have been approved but not accepted, and such candidates are strongly advised to accept their offers immediately to avoid losing their slots.

It was also noted that some candidates have not uploaded their “O” Level results on their JAMB portals. Such candidates should visit any JAMB CBT accredited centre to upload their results.

Candidates who changed their programmes are advised to check their JAMB CAPS portals to ensure such changes did not affect their “O” Level requirements, to facilitate faster admission processing.

Additionally, staff who requested admissions for applicants not yet admitted are encouraged to change to programmes with available admission spaces.

Important Notice:
▪ According to the JAMB 2025/2026 admission policy, JAMB CAPS will close for all admission exercises by October 31, 2025.
▪ Applicants not admitted into over-subscribed programmes such as MBBS, Nursing Science, Computer Science, Microbiology, Civil Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Common Law, Common and Sharia Law, Biochemistry, and others are advised to change to programmes with similar JAMB subject combinations and “O” Level requirements.
▪ All staff or applicants with admission requests must ensure transfers are completed before making further requests.

▪ Programmes (Over-subscribed): MBBS, Nursing, Microbiology, Laboratory Technology, Biochemistry
▪ Possible Programmes with Available Slots: Agriculture, Soil Science, Crop Production and Technology, Forestry and Wildlife, Animal Science and Range Management (Limited), Biotechnology, Plant Science, Biological Science, Home Economics, Geology, and Mining — programmes with similar “O” Level requirements and JAMB subject combinations.

S/N 2
▪ Programme (Over-subscribed): Computer Science
▪ Possible Programmes with Available Slots: Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics with Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, and other related programmes with similar “O” Level requirements and JAMB subject combinations.

S/N 3
▪ Programmes (Over-subscribed): Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering
▪ Possible Programmes with Available Slots: Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural and Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Education, and other related programmes with similar “O” Level requirements and JAMB subject combinations.

S/N 4
▪ Programme (Over-subscribed): Architecture
▪ Possible Programmes with Available Slots: Building, Quantity Surveying, Estate Management, Urban and Regional Planning, and other programmes requiring Mathematics and Geography in JAMB subject combination, or those with similar “O” Level requirements and JAMB subject combinations.

S/N 5
▪ Programmes (Over-subscribed): Both Law Programmes
▪ Possible Programmes with Available Slots: Political Science, Sociology, Library and Information Science, and other related programmes with similar “O” Level requirements and JAMB subject combinations.

Note:
All changes or transfers must be completed on or before Sunday, October 26, 2025.
