RSU Resumption Date 2025 Announced [UPDATED]

 RSU Resumption Date: The Rivers State University (RSU) has released update on the Resumption for 2025/2026 Academic Activities. 

The management of the Rivers State University (RSU), Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has officially announced the resumption date for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to a statement released and signed by the Registrar, Mrs. I. B. S. Harry, dated October 24, 2025, academic activities for the new session will commence on Monday, November 3, 2025.

Hostel and Registration Details

▪ University hostels will open on Sunday, November 2, 2025, to allow duly registered students to check in ahead of the commencement of lectures.

▪ Students are advised to pay their school fees and accommodation fees promptly in order to secure their bed spaces.

▪ The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Isaac Zeb-Obipi, on Friday, October 24, 2025, inaugurated the Hall Wardens and charged them to maintain strict discipline within the hostels.

Important Guidelines for Students

▪ Students have been warned against selling or transferring bed spaces. Anyone found guilty will face disciplinary action.

▪ The university urges all students to comply fully with the resumption directives to ensure a smooth start to the academic session.

▪ RSU will continue to adhere strictly to its approved Academic Calendar, and any updates on resumption, vacation, or other academic activities will be communicated only through official university channels.

▪ The management has also dissociated itself from any false publication circulating online and urges students and the public to disregard such information.
