UTME to DE Conversion for 2025 Begins Nationwide – JAMB

 

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially commenced the conversion process for eligible candidates who wish to change their UTME registration to Direct Entry (DE) for the 2025 admission year. This is for candidates who have a higher qualification and want to gain admission into the 200-level.

Who Can Convert?

▪ Candidates who wrote the 2025 UTME but are now eligible for DE admission.

▪ You must have one of the following recognized qualifications:

▪ National Diploma (ND)

▪ Higher National Diploma (HND)

▪ Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)

▪ Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB)

▪ A-Level certificates

▪ Other equivalent qualifications approved by JAMB

Cost and Location

▪ The conversion process itself does not have a separate fee from JAMB. However, you will still need to pay the standard Direct Entry registration fee.

▪ The conversion can only be done at a JAMB Professional Registration Centre (PRC). You should avoid third-party agents.

Required Documents

When you go to a PRC, make sure to have the following documents ready:

▪ Your JAMB UTME registration slip.

▪ Original and photocopies of your post-secondary qualification certificates (e.g., NCE, ND, A-Level).

▪ Your O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE).

▪ A valid form of identification (like a birth certificate or a declaration of age).

Conversion Steps

1. Go to an accredited JAMB Professional Registration Centre (PRC).

2. Inform the staff that you want to convert your UTME registration to Direct Entry.

3. Provide the necessary documents and your JAMB profile code or registration number.

4. The staff will update your details on the JAMB portal.

5. After the process is complete, you will receive a new DE registration slip with your updated information.
