UNIBEN JUPEB Form 2025/2026 is Out [UPDATED]

 

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is now accepting applications for its Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) program for the 2025/2026 academic session. The program provides a pathway for direct entry into the 200-level of various degree programs at UNIBEN and other affiliated universities.

About the UNIBEN JUPEB Programme

▪ The JUPEB program is a one-year, non-residential academic session with two semesters.

▪ It leads to the award of the JUPEB Certificate, which is equivalent to the A’ Level GCE or IJMB.

▪ Successful candidates can gain Direct Entry admission into the 200-level in UNIBEN or other JUPEB-affiliated institutions.

Important Dates and Fees

▪ Registration Closing Date: Wednesday, 3rd September, 2025 (Midnight).

▪ Entrance Examination Date: Saturday, 6th September, 2025.

▪ Application Fee: A non-refundable fee of ₦15,000 (excluding bank charges).

Eligibility Requirements

▪ Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in at least five subjects at the O’level, including English Language and Mathematics.

▪ These credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings from GCE, SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB).

▪ Arts: Government/Literature in English/CRS; History/Literature in English/CRS; Economics/Government/Literature in English.

▪ Education: All combinations from other fields.

▪ Management/Social Sciences: Economics/Government/Mathematics; Mathematics/Geography/Economics; Economics/Business Studies/Government; Accounting/Economics/Government; Economics/Government/Geography; CRS/Economics/Government.

▪ Law: Government/Literature in English/Christian Religious Studies.

▪ Life Sciences: Biology/Chemistry/Physics.

▪ Physical Sciences: Chemistry/Mathematics/Physics; Geography/Mathematics/Physics.

▪ Medicine/Dentistry/Pharmacy/Nursing: Biology/Chemistry/Physics.

▪ Engineering: Chemistry/Mathematics/Physics.

▪ Agricultural Science: Agricultural Science/Biology/Chemistry.

How to Apply

1. Visit the UNIBEN student portal at www.uniben.edu or uniben.waeup.org.

2. Navigate to the JUPEB (Pre-Degree) Foundation Studies 2025/2026 section.

3. Click "Register for application" and provide the required information. A system-generated ID and password will be sent to your email.

4. Log in with your credentials, click on "Edit application record," and fill in all details.

5. Upload a clear 1" x 1" colored passport photograph with a red background in JPEG format.

6. Click "Add online payment ticket" and pay the ₦15,000 application fee using an ATM-enabled card.

7. Preview your information, submit your application, and print at least four copies of the application slip.
