Admission Requirements

Admission through UTME (100 Level)

▪ Five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects at SSCE, GCE, NECO, or equivalent in not more than two sittings.

▪ A score of 150 and above in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

▪ Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics are required for all students.

▪ The university will conduct a post-JAMB screening.

Admission through Direct Entry (D.E) (200 Level)

▪ Five (5) credit passes (including English Language) at SSCE, GCE, NECO or equivalent in relevant subjects in not more than two sittings.

▪ At least two advanced level passes in the General Certificate of Education Examination in relevant subjects, or an Ordinary National Diploma with a credit level, or Nigeria Certificate of Education (NEC) with a credit level.

▪ Passes in two IJMB/JUPEP courses out of the three.

Admission into 300 Level

▪ Candidates with an HND or a Third Class Degree can apply.

IJMB Programme

Kwararafa University offers the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Programme, a one-year program that allows successful candidates to gain Direct Entry into 200 Level.

Entry Requirements for IJMB

▪ Four (4) credit passes at a Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), GCE, NECO, NABTEB or equivalent in relevant subjects in not more than two sittings.

▪ A combination of any 3 subjects offered at IJMB (e.g., Lit-in-English, History, CRS, Government, etc.) can grant admission to any degree program.
