2025 WAEC GCE Registration Form is Out [SECOND SERIES]

 

The 2025 WAEC GCE SECOND Series Registration form is still on sale. The Closing Date has been extended till Friday, September 5, 2025. The form cost N27,000. 


The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), GCE 2025 SECOND series intending candidates are hereby advised to seize this opportunity to purchase the PIN and register before the registration closes..

WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2025 – SECOND SERIES Registration has commenced on Monday, June 09, 2025. Closing date for Generation of PIN is Friday, September 5, 2025. Intending candidates are therefore advised to complete their Biometrics capturing and Online registration by 11:59 pm on Sunday, September 7, 2025. 


WAEC 2nd series GCE registration deadline has been extended from August 24th to September 7th. Please note that PIN generation will now close on September 5th. 

The normal registration period is from Monday, 9 June 2025 and ends Friday, September 5, 2025 Generation of PIN ends on Sunday, September 7, 2025.

Registration Period

Step-by-Step Registration Process

▪ Obtain the Registration PIN:

* Visit any of the authorized banks or accredited agents. A list of these banks is provided below.

* Pay the registration fee of ₦27,000 and the bank charge of ₦500.

* You will receive a Registration PIN and an information VCD. Keep your payment receipt in a safe place.

▪ Biometric Data Capture:

* The registration is now a hybrid of online and biometric capture.

* You can visit any accredited registration center or cybercafe to capture your fingerprints and a digital passport photograph.

* Alternatively, you can download the Biometric Data Capture software from the official WAEC registration portal if you have your own fingerprint scanner.

▪ Complete the Online Registration:

* Go to the official WAEC registration portal: registration.waecdirect.org.

* Use the Registration PIN you obtained from the bank to unlock the online form.

* Fill in your personal details accurately, including your full name, date of birth, and contact information.

* Important: Ensure your National Identification Number (NIN) is available as it is a mandatory requirement.

* Upload your recent digital passport photograph that meets the required specifications (JPEG format, 275x314 pixels, 72 dpi resolution, and a contrasting background).

▪ Subject Selection:

* Mathematics and English Language are automatically selected as they are compulsory.

* Select your other subjects. You are required to choose a minimum of seven (7) and a maximum of nine (9) subjects in total, including English and Mathematics.

▪ Choose Your Examination Town:

* Select the state and town where you wish to write the examination. The system will automatically assign your specific examination center.

* Note: You cannot change your chosen examination town after submission.

▪ Final Review and Submission:

* Carefully review all the information you have entered.

* Once you are certain all details are correct, read and accept the declaration by checking the required boxes.

* Click the "SUBMIT" button. Please note that once you click submit, you will no longer be able to modify your application.

▪ Print Your Admission Notice/Photo Card:

* Upon successful submission, the system will generate your examination number and allocate a center.

* Print your Admission Notice and Photo Card. This document is essential and must be presented for entry into the examination hall.

The subjects available for the examination are typically categorized into various groups. You can choose subjects relevant to your field of study. Some common subjects include:

▪ Humanities: Literature-in-English, French, Government, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Religious Studies, History.

▪ Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Further Mathematics, Agricultural Science.

▪ Commercials: Economics, Commerce, Financial Accounting, Shorthand, Office Practice.

▪ Other Subjects: Geography, Home Management, Foods and Nutrition, Art.
