Lagos State University (LASU) Dress Code for Students: What Constitutes Indecent Dressing

The management of Lagos State University (LASU) has issued a reminder to students about its dress code, outlining what constitutes indecent dressing on all its campuses (Ojo, Ikeja, Epe, and Badagry) and warning of sanctions for violations. The university has observed that some students violate these rules, and staff members (teaching and non-teaching) have been tolerating these acts. Full enforcement of the university's dress code has commenced.

Directives on Indecent Dressing

The Vice-Chancellor has issued the following directives to address the continuous disregard for the dress code:

▪️ Provosts, Deans, Heads of Departments, and Faculty Officers should ensure decent dressing among students within their various Colleges/Schools/Faculties.

▪️ All lecturers are mandated to deny any indecently dressed students from attending lectures.

▪️ Male Accessories: Wearing earrings and necklaces by male students.

▪️ Excessive Female Accessories: Wearing nose rings, very large dangling earrings, and necklaces by students.
