FUTO Post UTME Form 2025/2026 Is Out [UPDATED]

 The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has invited candidates who chose it as their first choice university in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) to apply for its screening exercise for the 2025/2026 admissions.

Application Period & Eligibility

▪️ Application Commencement: Wednesday, July 23, 2025.

▪️ Application Closing Date: Sunday, August 31, 2025.

▪️ Age Requirement: Only candidates who are at least 16 years old by September 30, 2025, are eligible to apply.

UTME Candidates Requirements

▪️ JAMB Score: Must have scored a minimum of 150 in their UTME.

▪️ First Choice: While FUTO should ideally be the first choice, candidates who did not initially choose FUTO but scored a minimum of 150 can also apply, provided they visit the JAMB CAPS and change their first choice institution to FUTO.

▪️ JAMB Subject Combination: Each candidate must ensure their JAMB subject combination aligns with the JAMB brochure for the program applied for.

▪️ O'Level Credits:

▪️ Must have at least 5 O’Level Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics, along with three other relevant O’Level subjects (depending on the program) at not more than two sittings.

▪️ For the MBBS program, candidates must have at least 5 O’Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at ONE SITTING.

▪️ Screening Basis: The screening exercise will be based on verified JAMB scores and O’Level results uploaded on JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

Direct Entry (DE) Candidates Requirements

▪️ Must be holders of OND/HND/First Degree in relevant disciplines or A‘Level in relevant subjects.

▪️ Academic Transcript: Academic transcripts must reach "The Registrar, Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Owerri, Imo State" not later than August 24, 2025. Failure to submit transcripts will result in non-consideration for admission.

Minimum JAMB Score Requirements by Program

A. Programmes requiring minimum JAMB Score of 150:

▪️ School of Agriculture & Agricultural Technology (SAAT): Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Animal Science & Technology, Crop Science & Technology, Soil Science & Technology, Fisheries & Aquaculture & Technology, Forestry and Wildlife & Technology.

▪️ School of Logistics and Innovation Technology (SLIT): Logistics & Transport Technology, Entrepreneurship Studies & Innovation, Project Management Technology, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Science Technology.

▪️ School of Health Technology (SOHT): Environmental Health Science, Dental Technology.

▪️ School of Biological Sciences (SOBS): Biochemistry, Biological Science, Biotechnology, Forensic Science, Microbiology.

▪️ School of Environmental Sciences (SOES): Building Technology, Environmental Management, Estate Management & Valuation, Quantity Surveying, Surveying & Geoinformatics, Urban & Regional Planning.

▪️ School of Engineering and Engineering Technology (SEET): Biomedical Engineering, Materials & Metallurgical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Polymer & Textile Engineering, Food Science & Technology.

▪️ School of Physical Sciences (SOPS): Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Geology, Statistics.

▪️ Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Procurement, Environment and Social Standard (CE-sPESS): Environmental Sustainability, Procurement Management, Sustainable Social Development.

B. Programmes requiring minimum JAMB Score of 170:

▪️ School of Information & Communication Technology (SICT): Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security Science.

▪️ School of Health Technology (SOHT): Prosthetics & Orthotics Technology, Public Health Technology, Optometry, Radiography.

▪️ School of Engineering and Engineering Technology (SEET): Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering.

▪️ School of Environmental Sciences (SOES): Architecture.

▪️ School of Electrical Systems and Engineering Technology (SESET): Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering.

▪️ School of Physical Sciences (SOPS): Science Laboratory Technology.

▪️ School of Basic Medical Sciences (SBMS): Human Anatomy, Human Physiology.

C. Programme requiring minimum JAMB Score of 200:

▪️ College of Medicine: MBBS program.

Mode of Payment and Registration Procedure

▪️ Application Fee: Eligible candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Two Thousand Naira (₦2,000.00).

▪️ Registration Steps:

1. Visit the University website: www.futo.edu.ng.

2. Click on “Prospective Students” then “Undergraduate” OR use the direct link: https://portal.futo.edu.ng/#undergraduate.

3. Click on “Generate invoice”.

4. Enter your JAMB Registration Number to generate a Payment Invoice containing the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Number.

5. Proceed to any bank with the payment invoice OR pay with your ATM Card.

6. Return to the Application portal: https://portal.futo.edu.ng/#undergraduate.

7. Click on “Application Form”.

8. Enter your JAMB Registration number and click on “Login”.

9. Proceed with the completion of the form, ensuring all details are correctly entered.

10. Confirm your entries.

11. Submit your application (application is only complete after clicking "Submit").

12. Print out your acknowledgement slip.

13. Await further communication from the University.

Important Notices

▪️ Ensure your details on JAMB CAPS match what you provide on the Post-UTME application portal (e.g., correct JAMB Registration number, date of birth, state of origin).

▪️ Provide a valid mobile number and e-mail address for further communication.

▪️ Upload your O’Level results on JAMB CAPS no later than August 24, 2025. Remember to click "Refresh" after entering your results.

▪️ Candidates who fail to register within the stipulated period will not be considered.

▪️ Only candidates who successfully submit applications online will be considered for admission.

▪️ For Direct Entry candidates: Ensure your academic transcript reaches the Registrar's office by August 24, 2025. Failure to do so will result in non-consideration for admission.
