LASUED Indigenship Verification Exercise [UPDATED]

 Lagos State University Of Education LASUED Indigeneship Verification exercise for 2026 UTME candidates who are indigenes of Lagos State. The registration closes on Sunday, 14th June, 2026. The Cut-off mark is 185 and above. 

Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) has announced the commencement of the 2026/2027 Independent Indigeneship Verification Exercise for candidates of Lagos State origin seeking admission into the university.

●. All candidates of Lagos State Origin who chose Lagos State University of Education as First Choice in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and scored a minimum of 185 are hereby informed that the Online Registration for Independent Indigeneship Verification Exercise for the 2026/2027 Admission Exercise will commence on Monday, 18th May, 2026 and close on Sunday, 14th June, 2026.

The Verification Interview shall be for a period of four (4) weeks, starting from Monday, 1st June, 2026 to Thursday, 25th June, 2026.

ELIGIBILITY

▪ Candidates must be indigenes of Lagos State
▪ Candidates must have chosen LASUED as First Choice in the 2026 UTME
▪ Candidates must score a minimum of 185 in UTME
▪ Direct Entry applicants of Lagos State origin are also required to participate

1. Indigeneship Form
2. Payments Receipt
3. Candidates Birth Certificate. Original and Photocopy
4. Father's Birth Certificate. Original and Photocopy
5. Letter from Oba
6. Letter from Chairman, Local Government Area
7. Landed Property Documents.

● Please NOTE that ONLY Candidates who are of Lagos State Origin are eligible for screening. Candidates in this category are expected to be CLEARED by the LASUED Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (LIIVC) BEFORE being considered for admission;

●The interview will hold at the venue below:

SENATOR OLUREMI TINUBU HALL OF THE UNIVERSITY

●Old applicants for 2025/2026 Academic Sessions that have not been offered admission will only Revalidate their Indigeneship Clearance Certificates at the same venue and

● All Direct Entry applicants who are of Lagos State Origin are to participate in this Independent Indigeneship Verification Exercise before they can be considered for admission.
