The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially activated the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) portal for the uploading of 2026 O’Level results.

Candidates who registered for the 2026 UTME with “Awaiting Result” (AR) can now upload their WAEC, NECO or NABTEB results to enable admission processing for the 2026/2027 academic session.

WHY UPLOADING YOUR O’LEVEL RESULT IS IMPORTANT

▪ Uploading O’Level results on CAPS is compulsory for admission consideration.

▪ Candidates without uploaded results cannot be considered for admission, even with high UTME scores.

▪ Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges use the uploaded O’Level details for Post-UTME screening and aggregate calculations.

▪ Candidates combining two sittings must ensure both results are uploaded correctly.

OFFICIAL METHOD FOR UPLOADING O’LEVEL RESULTS

According to JAMB guidelines, candidates cannot upload their results personally through their JAMB profile for initial submission. Upload must be done at an accredited JAMB CBT Centre or JAMB Office.

Following the directives from the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), no candidate with awaiting O’level (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB) result will be admitted into any tertiary institution in Nigeria.

To this end, candidates who registered their Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) with awaiting result are been directed to go and upload it to JAMB CAPS Portal.

REQUIREMENTS FOR UPLOAD

Candidates should go with:

▪ JAMB Registration Number/Profile Code

▪ Original O’Level Result Slip(s) — WAEC, NECO or NABTEB

▪ Printed UTME Registration Slip

▪ Login details if required

▪ Both result slips if combining two sittings

STEPS TO UPLOAD O’LEVEL RESULT

▪ Visit any accredited JAMB CBT Centre or JAMB Office.

▪ Inform the CBT operator that you want to upload your O’Level result.

▪ The operator will access your JAMB profile and input your subjects and grades.

▪ Carefully review all details before submission to avoid errors.

▪ Pay the service fee charged by the CBT centre.

▪ Collect the confirmation/printout slip after successful upload.

HOW TO CONFIRM UPLOAD ON CAPS

▪ Login to the JAMB eFacility Portal.

▪ Click “Check Admission Status”.

▪ Select “Access my CAPS”.

▪ Open the “My O’Level Result” section.

▪ If upload is successful, your subjects and grades will appear.

▪ If it still shows “Awaiting Result” or blank, revisit the CBT centre for correction.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

▪ Candidates awaiting O’Level results should upload immediately once results are released.

▪ Early upload helps institutions process screening and admission faster.

▪ Incorrect or incomplete uploads may affect admission eligibility.

▪ JAMB is yet to officially announce the deadline for 2026 O’Level result upload.
