General Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements

1. No age limit provided the candidate satisfies basic entry qualification.
2. Mature minded and highly disciplined individuals, who must possess all the attributes of being healthy i.e. physical, mental, social, spiritual, cultural and moral.
3. Good citizenry with large capacity for learning, lacking criminal tendencies. He/she must be able to abide with the rules and regulations of the College.
4. Ability to score above the set cut-off pass mark in the entrance examination and interview conducted by the College in respect of the course of choice.

Special Note

a. In addition to fulfilling the general entry requirements, applicants will be required to meet the stipulated requirement for their course of choice.

b. The College is a uniform wearing institution.

c. Students who enter with forged certificates will be handed over to the police directly, immediately they are uncovered. They stand expelled from the College.

d. Number of places available in any of the courses is limited.

DEPARTMENT: Environmental Health

HND Environmental Heath Technology (ND & HND)
Duration

4 years (eight semesters) with Supervised Industrial Work Experience (SIWES) and one-year internship (Post ND)

Entry Requirements

5 credit level passes in NECO/SSCE etc. The subjects include English, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science, Chemistry and Physics at not more than two sittings.

At least 4 credit level passes and 1 ordinary pass in WAEC/NECO. Credit level passes include Biology/ Health Science, Chemistry, Physics and English Language; minimum of pass in Mathematics is a must.

(c)At least 4 credit level passes in WAEC/NECO. Credit level passes must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics/Chemistry and any other subject

DEPARTMENT: Community Health

Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW)

Junior Community Health Extension Worker (JCHEW)

3 years (Six Semesters)

2 years (Four Semesters)

Entry Requirements

5 credit level passes in SSCE / WAEC / NECO / GCE ‘O’ level in English, Mathematics, Biology or Health Science and two subjects chosen from Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Food and Nutrition and Agric Science.

At least 5 ordinary passes in NECO / WAEC ‘O’ level in not more than 2 sittings. The subjects include English, Mathematics, Biology /Health Science, and any other two passes but not Yoruba/ Hausa /Igbo /Religious studies.

Age of certificate used for admission into Medical Laboratory Technician must not be more than 5 years to the time of enrollment with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria

5 credit passes in GCE / WAEC / SSCE / NECO at not more than 2 sittings in English, Mathematics, Biology or Health Science, Chemistry and at least pass in physics.

Previously acquired Health Assistant Certificate with not less than 4 years cognate experience for those who spent 1 year to acquire Health Assistant Certificate

Previously acquired Health Assistant Certificate with not less than 1 year cognate experience for those who spent 2 years to acquire Health Assistant Certificate.

Any 5 passes in NECO OR WAEC.
