 UNILAG Distance Learning Form: University of Lagos (UNILAG) Distance Learning Institute (DLI) Admission Form for 2026/2027 academic Session is Out. The closing date is 31st December 2026. The application form cost N20,000.00. 

The Distance Learning Institute (DLI), University of Lagos (UNILAG) invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for admission into its 2026/2027 Academic Session programmes, which will be offered through the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode.

GENERAL INFORMATION

▪ Applicants must possess a minimum of Five (5) O'Level Credit Passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained at not more than two sittings.

▪ Applicants seeking admission into Year Two must possess any of the following qualifications:

▪ NCE

▪ National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit

▪ JUPEB

▪ IJMB

▪ GCE Advanced Level (A'Level) in relevant subjects

▪ Applicants seeking admission into Year Three must possess any of the following:

▪ Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower Credit

▪ Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of Third Class

▪ Evidence of NYSC Discharge Certificate, Exemption Certificate, or Exclusion Certificate

▪ Applicants with relevant professional qualifications are also eligible for admission into Year Three. Accepted qualifications include:

▪ ICAN

▪ ACA

▪ ACIB

▪ ANAN

▪ ACCA

▪ ACMA

▪ ACIS

▪ CII

▪ CIBN

▪ ANACIA

▪ Candidates awaiting results are not eligible to apply.

▪ Applicants must be at least 16 years old on or before 31st October, 2026.

▪ Admission is open to all qualified applicants, including persons with learning disabilities or other challenges.

▪ Applicants are expected to possess basic ICT skills to enable them participate effectively in the ICT-Enabled Supported Blended Learning (IESBL) model used by the Institute.

▪ There is no UTME examination for admission into the Distance Learning Institute (DLI), University of Lagos.

PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION

The application process consists of two stages:

STAGE 1: DLI UNILAG APPLICATION

▪ Log in to the UNILAG Application Portal.

▪ Click "Start Fresh Application."

▪ Select Distance Learning Institute as the application type.

▪ Provide the following information:

▪ Surname

▪ First Name

▪ Middle Name

▪ JAMB Registration Number

▪ Mobile Number

▪ E-mail Address

▪ Click "Pay Now" to make an online payment of the ₦20,000 application fee, or print the payment advice with the Remita Number and pay at any Commercial Bank.

▪ After payment, return to the application portal and click "Continue Application."

▪ Enter your Payment Reference Number and use your surname (in lowercase) as your password.

▪ Complete all required information and upload the necessary documents.

▪ Submit the completed application online and print a copy for your records.

▪ Candidates may save the application and return later to complete it before final submission.

▪ All completed applications must be submitted on or before 31st December, 2026.

STAGE 2: JAMB REGISTRATION

▪ Visit the JAMB CAPS Portal and register.

▪ Pay ₦3,500 to obtain a JAMB Registration Number.
