UTME 2026: JAMB Adjusts Exam Schedule, Sets First Session Arrival at 7AM

JAMB Adjusts Arrival Time For UTME First Session To 7am From 6.30am

JAMB has announced a slight adjustment to the scheduled timing for the 2026 UTME, particularly affecting candidates in the first session.

According to an official update shared by JAMB, candidates scheduled for the first session are now expected to arrive at their centres by 7:00AM, instead of the earlier communicated 6:30AM.

This means that while the arrival time has been adjusted, the actual examination time remains unchanged. Candidates will still begin their exam at 8:30AM and end at 10:30AM. 

The adjustment is simply to ease early morning pressure and improve candidates’ ability to get to their centres on time.

Updated First Session Schedule

▪ Arrival Time: 7:00AM (previously 6:30AM)
▪ Exam Start Time: 8:30AM
▪ Exam End Time: 10:30AM

JAMB emphasized that candidates do not need to reprint their examination slips, as the adjustment does not affect other details already provided. The new timing will apply automatically.

Candidates are advised to still arrive early and strictly follow all instructions on their examination slips.  Being late to the centre may prevent entry into the exam hall.
