FUKASHERE Secures NUC Approval for New Academic Programmes 

The Federal University of Kashere (FUKASHERE), Gombe State, has received the approval of the National Universities Commission (NUC) for the establishment of new full-time academic programmes at the University.

This approval follows a successful resource verification visit carried out by panels of experts to assess the human and material resources available for the proposed programmes.

Approved Programmes

The Executive Secretary of the NUC, after due consideration of the report, has approved the establishment of the following programmes to be run in the Main Campus of the University, effective from the 2025/2026 Academic Session:

▪ MBBS. Medicine and Surgery
▪ B.Sc. Human Anatomy
▪ B.Sc. Human Physiology
▪ B.Sc. Pharmacology

Conditions of Approval

▪ The approval covers only the full-time mode of these programmes.
▪ Before the part-time mode of any undergraduate programme can commence, the University must submit a formal request to the NUC for further processing and approval.
▪ Each programme must bear only the approved title and nomenclature; any future change will require formal NUC approval.
▪ The University is advised to ensure the provision of adequate human and material resources to support the sustainable development and growth of the approved programmes.
