UNICAL Admission List 2026/2027 Is Out [UPDATED]

This notice is for all prospective students of the University of Calabar (UNICAL). Allschool Team wishes to inform you that the UNICAL admission list for the 2026/2027 academic Session.

HOW TO CHECK UNICAL ADMISSION LIST

As of the time of this publication, the UNICAL prospective students can only check their admission status from the JAMB Portal.

CHECK JAMB ADMISSION PORTAL

To check your admission status on JAMB CAPS Portal and JAMB Admission Checking Portal, please follow the procedure below:

▪ Go https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.
▪ Login to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
▪ Scroll down then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.
▪ Then click on Admission Status, You should then click on check admission status or Click on Access my CAPS.
▪ Select the three-dotted lines at the top right corner of your browser ( i.e. ⋮) and then tick ‘Desktop site‘. (you can click on the image for better view)
▪ Then click on admission status

You will either see admission in progress check back later, or NOT ADMITTED, or CONGRATULATIONS.

CASE 1:

If you see CONGRATULATIONS…, accept/Reject your admission and wait for further instruction.

CASE 2:

If you see admission in progress, then be patient, the status will change in few days/weeks. Just check back after some time.

CASE 3:

Not Admitted, if in such case, please don’t give up yet! You might still gain admission. Just be hopeful!

Candidates who have been offered admission are to proceed to kindly accept / reject their admission by sending ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019 using their registered phone number on JAMB portal. For those whose status is showing "Admission Still in Progress" or "Not Admitted", you are advised to keep checking as the status may change anytime soon.

CHECK UNICAL ADMISSION PORTAL

Soon, the list will be made available on the UNICAL Admission portal.

When that happens, the procedure below will likely be used to check admission status:

First get the UNICAL Admission Checking card/Pin.

BUY ADMISSION PIN

An Admission PIN lets you securely check your admission status online. Each JAMB registration number requires its own PIN.

The admission checker cards can be purchased via here https://portal.unical.edu.ng/admission-pin

Pay ₦2,300 for it

Then follow the procedure below to check:

▪ Go to UNICAL Admission Status Portal
▪ Enter your JAMB registration Number.
▪ Then click the login button to access your admission status.

If admitted, you will see your name and course.

If you are yet to be admitted you will see Sorry, this JAMB Number is YET-TO-BE ADMITTED, kindly check back !!!.

CANDIDATES WHOSE NAMES APPEAR ON THIS LIST ARE PLEASE ADVISED TO PRINT OUT THE ADMISSION STATUS SLIP AND KEEP IT FOR SCREENING AT THEIR VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS. THEY SHOULD PLEASE PROCEED TO PAY THEIR ACCEPTANCE FEE ON ETRANZACT PLATFORM IN ANY COMMERCIAL BANK AND UNICAL MICROFINANCE BANK

CHECKING ADMISSION STATUS GUIDELINES

E-tranzact option:

This option is available in all commercial banks nationwide.

At the bank your are required to pay and obtain an E-transact PIN.

With the PIN log into the portal https://www.myunical.edu.ng and click on the UTME Admission Screening link then follow the instructions on the portal after login.

Buy Admission Status Checker Pin Online option:

This option gives access to purchase Admission Status Checker pin from the portal.

Click Buy Admission Status Checker Pin Online to purchase the Admission Status Checker pin online.

Login with the TRANSACTION ID as the PIN into the portal.

Scratch Card Option:

This option is available in the following banks within Calabar Metropolis ONLY:

▪ a. Unical Microfinance Bank
▪ b. WEMA Bank
▪ c. First city Monument Bank
▪ d. Heritage Bank
