ABU Zaria Notice on 2026 Post UTME/DE Screening Exercise

ABU Zaria Update on Registration for 2026 UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise.

Further to our Special Bulletin Volume 18, No. 60, dated Tuesday, 21st July, 2026, on the above subject, the University Management invites UTME and DE candidates to note the following:

▪ All candidates who registered for the screening are requested to log in to the Post UTME Portal to check their screening status. Successful candidates will see ‘your results have been screened’.

Those whose results were not screened may be due to either of the following reasons:

▪ i. not uploading a scanned copy of O’ level results after inputting the grades against the subjects, or the contrary (uploading without inputting grades).

▪ ii. discrepancy(ies) between the imputed grades and the uploaded scanned copy of the candidate’s O’ level results.

▪ iii. uploading other items such as examination card, JAMB registration slip, passport and any other unrequired documents instead of O’ level results.

▪ iv. wrong JAMB or O’ level subject combinations.

▪ v. major deficiency (lack of credit in English Language or less than the specified five (5) O’ level credits) which renders candidates not admissible.

▪ vi. having O’ level results obtained in two sittings (complementary results) but uploading only a scanned copy of the result from one sitting.

▪ vii. uploading handwritten O’ level results instead of a printout from the relevant examination body.

▪ viii. uploading incomplete, squeezed or faded results that are not legible.

Candidates with any of the above anomalies are advised to return to their portal to rectify them immediately; otherwise, their admission will not be processed.

Candidates who used their email addresses for the screening registration instead of their JAMB registration numbers are advised to re-register, as the previous registration is invalid.

Candidates with wrong UTME or O’ level subject combinations are advised to change to other appropriate programmes.

Candidates ates are strongly advised to ensure that they or cafe operators capture and upload their information accurately.

Candidates with O’ level results who have not yet registered are advised to do so immediately to enable the University to process their admission applications.

Those without the results should wait until their results are released.
