 2026 WAEC Result: The 2026 WASSCE Result for School Candidates who wrote in May/June 2026 has now been released

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results for the 2026 WASSCE for School Candidates. The results are available for candidates who wrote the exam in May/June 2026.

The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform Candidates who sat WASSCE for School Candidates, 2026 that the result has officially been released today, Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

To access the results, follow the detailed procedure below. 

HOW TO CHECK WAEC RESULT ONLINE

To check your result, follow these steps on the WAEC portal:

▪ Go to the WAEC result checking portal: www.waecdirect.org.

▪ Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number.
(This is your 7-Digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number eg. 4123456789).

▪ For examination year < 1999, enter your 8-digit WAEC Examination Number.
(This is your 5-Digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number eg. 19865001).

▪ Select the Examination Year, which is 2026.

▪ Choose your Examination Type: SCHOOL CANDIDATE RESULT.

▪ Enter the Card Serial Number.

▪ Enter the Card PIN.

▪ Click Submit and wait for the results window to come up.

NOTE

If you have exhausted the allowable number of uses on your scratch card, you will be required to purchase a new result checker card in order to continue checking your result online.

HOW TO CHECK WAEC RESULT VIA SMS

You can also check your result using your mobile phone.

▪ Send SMS in the format below:
WAECExamNoPIN*ExamYear

For example – WAEC*4250101001*123456789012*2026

▪ Send the message to the shortcode 32327 (MTN, Celtel & Glo subscribers).

▪ The cost is ₦30 per SMS.

NOTE

▪ Ensure you adhere strictly to the format above. There should be no space in the message.

▪ Wait for your result to be delivered to your phone via SMS. (SMS Cost N30 Only)

HOW TO SAVE YOUR WAEC RESULT ON YOUR EMAIL

To be on the safe side, sending your WAEC result to your email address can save you a whole lot of stress. If you lose your scratch card and you have to access your WAEC result, you can easily retrieve it from your email.

▪ Go to WAEC result checker online

▪ Click on send the result to email option

▪ You will be required to log in and enter your email address and submit

▪ Wait for the result to show

WAEC RESULT CHECKING PROBLEM

▪ "RESULT NOT AVAILABLE..." Error: If you see this message, do not panic. It could be due to a busy server or a delay in processing. Wait for 24-48 hours and try again.

▪ Incorrect Information: If you input a wrong examination number, the e-PIN will be considered used. You will need a new e-PIN to check your correct result.

▪ Held Results: If your result is marked as "HELD," it means it is undergoing a review. Keep checking the portal for updates.

▪ Technical Issues: If the website is not loading, check your internet connection or try again later due to high traffic. For other issues, you can email waecsupport@fleettechltd.com with your details (error message, exam number, type, and year).

WHAT IS AN E-PIN?

The e-PIN stands for Electronic Personal Identification Number. In WAECDIRECT, it is a unique 10-digit or 12-digit number that is required to access the service. The service enables direct access to a candidate’s results via multiple channels. The e-PIN is found in a valid WAEC Voucher.

WHERE CAN I BUY AN E-PIN?

In addition to online vendors, you can purchase a WAEC scratch card from the following locations:

▪ WAEC Offices: The National office and all Zonal and Branch Offices of WAEC in Nigeria are authorized to sell the e-PINs.

HOW MANY TIMES CAN I CHECK MY RESULTS?

You may check your result up to a maximum of 5 (five) times with the use of 1 (one) e-PIN. In order to check further after exhausting the allowed 5 (five) times, you will need to purchase another e-PIN which will entitle you to another 5 (five) result checks.

▪ Usage Limit: You can check your result a maximum of five (5) times with one e-PIN. If you use it up, you need to purchase a new one.

CAN I USE ONE E-PIN TO CHECK MORE THAN ONE RESULT?

No! You may only use one e-PIN Voucher to check one result. To check another result of interest, you will require a new e-PIN Voucher. If you misuse a e-PIN Voucher by attempting to check another result different from the first one checked, you will be penalised as having used the e-PIN, and will be presented with the appropriate error message.
