FUPRE Launches New B.Sc. Programmes for Science and Non-Science Students

 

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) has introduced new undergraduate academic programs for the 2025 academic session. These additions expand opportunities for students in both science and business-related fields, catering to diverse interests within the oil, gas, and broader energy industries.

New B.Sc. Programmes:

College of Petroleum Administration and Management:

• B.Sc. Entrepreneurship

• B.Sc. Logistics and Supply Chain Management

• B.Sc. Petroleum Information Management

• B.Sc. Procurement Management

College of Science:

• B.Sc. Biochemistry

• B.Sc. Microbiology

• B.Sc. Petroleum Chemistry

General Entry Requirements:

To be eligible for admission, candidates must:

• Possess at least five credit passes in O'Level exams (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB), including English Language and Mathematics.

• Have the correct UTME subject combinations for their chosen program.

• For Direct Entry, A-Level, ND, or equivalent qualifications are required.

Specific O'Level and UTME Subject Combinations:

• B.Sc. Biochemistry and Microbiology:

  • O'Level: English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics

  • UTME: English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics

  • Direct Entry: A-Level passes in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics

• B.Sc. Petroleum Chemistry:

  • O'Level: English, Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and one other science subject

  • UTME: English, Maths, Chemistry, Physics

  • Direct Entry: A-Level passes in Chemistry and either Physics or Maths

• B.Sc. Petroleum Information Management:

  • O'Level: English, Maths, Economics, Geography, Accounting

  • UTME: English, Maths, Economics, Geography or Accounting

  • Direct Entry: A-Level in Management, Economics, Accounting

• B.Sc. Entrepreneurship:

  • O'Level: English, Maths, Economics, Geography, and one other subject

Candidates who scored 170 or more in the 2025 UTME are eligible to apply. If FUPRE was not your first choice institution, you can effect a change of institution on the JAMB portal.
