LASU Announces Commencement of 2026/2027 IIVE Exercise [UPDATED]

Lagos State University (LASU) Indigeneship Verification exercise for 2026 UTME candidates who are indigenes of Lagos State. The Indigeneship Verification Exercise (IIVC) for the 2026/2027 admission exercise will commence on Monday, 27th April 2026 and close on Friday, 22nd May 2026. 

All candidates of Lagos State origin who chose Lagos State University as First Choice in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored a minimum of 195 are hereby informed that registration for the Indigeneship Verification Exercise (IIVC) for the 2026/2027 admission exercise will commence on Monday, 27th April 2026 and close on Friday, 22nd May 2026.

Please NOTE that the Indigeneship Verification Exercise does not guarantee or serve as proof of admission into Lagos State University.

SCREENING EXERCISE SCHEDULE

▪ Phase 1: Monday, 27th April 2026 – Thursday, 30th April 2026
▪ Phase 2: Monday, 4th May 2026 – Thursday, 7th May 2026
▪ Phase 3: Monday, 11th May 2026 – Thursday, 14th May 2026
▪ Phase 4: Monday, 18th May 2026 – Friday, 22nd May 2026

▪ Candidates are to make payment to Lagos State University Account online via: https://lasu.edu.ng/iive/

GENERAL INFORMATION

▪ Please NOTE that ONLY candidates who are of Lagos State origin are eligible for this exercise. Candidates in this category are expected to be CLEARED by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) BEFORE being considered for admission

▪ The interview will hold at the following venues:

▪ Ikeja Division: New TETFund Building, Faculty of Arts
▪ Badagry Division: New TETFund Building, Faculty of Arts
▪ Ikorodu Division: Law Clinic, Faculty of Law
▪ Lagos Division: International Business Class, MBA Building
▪ Epe Division: School of Transport and Logistics

▪ Old applicants for 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 Academic Sessions that have not been offered admission will only revalidate their Indigeneship Clearance Certificates online at www.lasu.edu.ng with payment

▪ All Direct Entry applicants who are of Lagos State origin are to participate in this Indigeneship Verification Exercise before they can be considered for admission

▪ Photocopy of Birth Certificate of the Applicant
▪ Photocopy of Birth Certificate of the Applicant’s Father
▪ Evidence of Title to Landed Property (Long-standing title, usually over 50 years)
▪ Written Testimony from relevant Oba to certify Lagos State origin
▪ Written Testimony from the Secretary to your Local Government Area
▪ Certificate of Origin from Local Government
▪ Original JAMB Result Slip
▪ O’Level Result
▪ Passport Photograph
