UNILORIN Postgraduate Form 2026/2027 Is Out [UPDATED]

 Unilorin Postgraduate Form 2026: University of Ilorin, UNILORIN Postgraduate Admission Form for 2026/2027 Academic Session is now on sale. The closing date is onFriday, 22nd May 2026. The Form costs N25,000. See available courses, how to apply and other vital information below. 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into various postgraduate degree programmes at University of Ilorin for the 2026/2027 academic session.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

▪ Only courses available for the session are advertised. Candidates should select only courses listed in the official advertisement.

▪ Candidates are advised to print out and carefully study the advertisement before starting the application.

▪ The University will not be responsible for errors resulting from wrong applications.

▪ The postgraduate session runs for 12 calendar months (from 2nd October to 30th September of the following year), counting from the date of first registration.

▪ Programmes automatically lapse at the expiration of their duration. Extensions (maximum of two, each not exceeding 12 months) may be granted.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES

General Requirements

▪ All required entry certificates must be available at the point of purchasing the form.

▪ Applicants must present NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption Certificate dated on or before 30th September 2026.

▪ Applications must be submitted online with scanned copies of credentials.

▪ Hard copies of application forms and supporting documents should be sent to:
Secretary, Postgraduate School, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria between:
Monday, 1st June 2026 – Friday, 5th June 2026

▪ Academic transcripts must be sent directly to the Head of Department of the chosen programme. The school is not responsible for misdirected transcripts.

▪ All applicants must have five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.

▪ Applicants with O’Level results before 2015 may present a pass in English or Mathematics depending on programme requirements.

MASTER’S DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

▪ Minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division) from a recognized university.

▪ Candidates applying outside their original discipline may be required to pass a qualifying examination.

▪ All applicants must ensure their transcripts are submitted before the deadline.

Ph.D. REQUIREMENTS

▪ A relevant Master’s degree with at least:

60% average score, OR

4.0 CGPA (on a 5-point scale)

▪ Shortlisted candidates will attend qualifying interviews and assessments.

▪ Applicants must contact their department to confirm interview dates.

▪ Transcripts must be sent to the Head of Department before deadline.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

▪ Applicants from non-English speaking institutions must provide proof of English proficiency (e.g., TOEFL or IELTS).

▪ PGD and Master’s applicants will undergo a qualifying exam (except First Class or Second Class Upper graduates from UNILORIN applying within same discipline).

▪ International applicants are exempted from qualifying exams but must submit a 5-page research proposal to:

▪ Full-time applicants must provide a letter of release from employer.

PROGRAMME-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

Computer Science

▪ First degree in Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences, or Humanities
▪ OR HND (Lower Credit) in Computer Science/Engineering
▪ OR HND in related fields + 1-year experience

Statistics

▪ Degree in Science or Social Science
▪ OR HND (Lower Credit) in Statistics

Master of Public Health (MPH)

▪ First degree in any of:
Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics, Veterinary Medicine, Medical Laboratory Science, Health Information Management, Public Health, Microbiology

▪ Minimum 2 years work experience in a health-related organization
