JAMB Direct Entry Form 2026 | Registration and Guidelines [UPDATED]

𝐉𝐀𝐌𝐁 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: JAMB has officially begun the 2026 Direct Entry registration from March 2nd to April 25th. Find out how to purchase your e-PIN and apply

The 2026 Direct Entry (DE) registration of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has officially begun.

The ePIN vending and registration will end on Saturday, 25th April, 2026.

The cost of the Direct Entry form is ₦5,700.

Candidates are informed that registration can only be carried out at the State and Zonal JAMB Offices nationwide.

DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS


Candidates must possess:

▪ A minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes at not more than two sittings.
▪ At least two subjects at the Principal or Advanced Level.

Other acceptable qualifications in lieu of A’Level include:

▪ First Degree (Nigerian Universities)
▪ University Diploma
▪ National Diploma
▪ Nigeria French Language Diploma / National Arabic Language Diploma
▪ Higher National Diploma (HND)
▪ NCE
▪ IJMB A-Level Certificate
▪ JUPEB Certificate
▪ NABTEB (ANBC/ANTC)
▪ First Degree (Foreign Universities)
▪ Cambridge A-Level
▪ International Baccalaureate (Foreign Certificates only)
▪ Foreign GCE A-Level
▪ Trans-National Foundation Certificates

Note: Awarding institutions are required to forward verification to JAMB before registration can be completed.

Candidates are advised to pre-verify their DE qualification before completing their registration.

INFORMATION REQUIRED AT REGISTRATION

All Direct Entry candidates must provide:

▪ Registration/Matriculation number of the previous institution attended
▪ Subject(s) of qualification
▪ Awarding institution
▪ Affiliated institution (where applicable)
▪ Year of graduation

PROFILE CREATION PROCEDURE

▪ Each candidate must use a unique phone number (SIM).
▪ The phone number can only be used by one candidate.
▪ Send your National Identification Number (NIN) via SMS to 55019 or 66019 in this format:
NIN 00123456789
▪ A 10-character Profile Code will be sent to the same number.
▪ The Profile Code remains the same for future JAMB transactions.

Candidates must always remember their registered email address and phone number, as they will be used for future communication with JAMB.

JAMB does not allow change of SIM after profile creation.

PAYMENT PROCEDURE

▪ Present the Profile Code at any approved outlet.
▪ Pay ₦5,700.
▪ The ePIN will be sent to the candidate’s phone via SMS.
▪ Present the Profile Code and ePIN at an accredited CBT Centre for registration.

Biometric capture (all ten fingers) and photograph must be done physically before registration can be completed.

Group or school-based registration is not allowed.

RETRIEVAL OF PROFILE CODE

To retrieve a lost Profile Code, send RESEND to 55019 or 66019 from the registered phone number.

To reset a forgotten password, send:
PASSWORD your-email-address to 55019 or 66019.

IMPORTANT DE REGISTRATION RULES

▪ DE candidates must upload A-Level and O-Level results during registration.
▪ Awaiting O-Level results are not accepted for DE registration.
▪ Admission will not be processed until results are verified.
▪ Statement of Result is accepted only within 3 years of award (NCE is 1 year).
▪ Upgrade from UTME to DE is only allowed for candidates who indicated awaiting A-Level during UTME registration.
▪ Candidates must constantly check their e-facility profile for verification status (“CLEARED” or “NOT CLEARED”).

ADDITIONAL RULES

▪ Multiple registrations are not permitted.
▪ Parents or third parties are not allowed to manage a candidate’s profile.
▪ Candidates must disclose any previous admission/matriculation status.
▪ False declaration automatically invalidates registration.
