SAZU Notice on Temporary Closure Of The University

Further to the memo received from the office of the Commissioner, Ministry of Higher Education and Regional Integration, on the directives of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of the state, for the temporary closure of all Learning Institutions dated 24/11/2025, I am directed to inform all staff and students that the University Management has approved the temporary closure of the University with effect from today in compliance with the directives of the government.

It should be noted that staff on essential services are expected to continue to provide the services on demand.

Furthermore, for those who may not travel during this trying moment, they are advised to be vigilant and stay at home.

It should be noted that the earlier resumption as provided in the 2025/2026 Academic Calendar is hereby postponed, please.
