UNIBEN Acceptance Fee, Clearance Procedure 2025/2026 [UPDATED]

See University of Benin, UNIBEN Acceptance Fee and Clearance Procedure for 2025/2026 Academic Session. 

The Management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) wishes to inform all successful candidates who have been offered provisional admission into the University for the 2025/2026 academic session that the processing of acceptance and clearance has commenced.

All newly admitted candidates are therefore advised to log on to the University Portal and strictly adhere to the following clearance and payment instructions.

STEPS FOR ACCEPTANCE FEE PAYMENT AND CLEARANCE

▪ Visit the University’s official portal at https://portal.uniben.edu.
▪ Click on the Login menu.
▪ Log in with your User ID (JAMB Registration Number) and Password (your JAMB password).
▪ You will be prompted to enter a valid email address — provide an active personal email to receive your Student ID and new Password.
▪ Go to your email to retrieve your Student ID and Password, then return to the portal and click on Login to Student Portal.
▪ Use your Student ID and the new Password to log in again.
▪ To begin your clearance process, click on the Academics menu, then select Clearance.
▪ To pay your Acceptance Fee, use the Bank Transfer Option on REMITA (please note that bank debit cards are not functional for this process).
▪ After successful payment, log out and log in again to refresh your payment status.
▪ Proceed to fill out your Clearance Form correctly and submit it for approval.

This process ensures a smooth and successful clearance. Candidates are advised to double-check all details before submission.
