UNICAL Admission List 2025/2026 Is Out [UPDATED]

 

This notice is for all prospective students of the University of Calabar (UNICAL). The UNICAL admission list for the 2025/2026 academic session has been released.

How to Check UNICAL Admission List

As of now, UNICAL prospective students can only check their admission status from the JAMB Portal.

Check JAMB Admission Portal

To check your admission status on JAMB CAPS Portal and JAMB Admission Checking Portal, please follow the procedure below:

▪ Go to https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/
▪ Login to your JAMB profile with your username and password
▪ Scroll down, then locate and click the Check Admission Status tab
▪ Then click on Admission Status, you should then click on Check Admission Status or click on Access my CAPS
▪ Select the three-dotted lines at the top right corner of your browser (i.e. ⋮) and then tick Desktop site
▪ Then click on Admission Status

You will either see:
▪ Admission in progress – check back later
▪ Not Admitted
▪ Congratulations

Case 1: If you see CONGRATULATIONS, accept/reject your admission and wait for further instruction.
Case 2: If you see Admission in progress, be patient, the status will change in a few days/weeks. Just check back later.
Case 3: If you see Not Admitted, don’t give up yet. You might still gain admission. Stay hopeful.

Check UNICAL Admission Portal

The list will also be made available on the UNICAL Admission Portal. When that happens, follow this procedure:

▪ First get the UNICAL Admission Checking card. The admission checker cards can be purchased at the following banks:
▪ UMFB, University of Calabar
▪ Heritage Bank, Calabar Road
▪ Wema Bank, Murtala Muhammed Highway
▪ First City Monument Bank, Calabar Road

▪ Go to UNICAL Admission Status Portal
▪ Enter your JAMB Registration Number
▪ Click the Login button to access your admission status

If admitted, you will see your name and course.
If not yet admitted, you will see: Sorry, this JAMB Number is YET-TO-BE ADMITTED, kindly check back !!!

Important Notice for Admitted Candidates

▪ Candidates whose names appear on the list are advised to print out the Admission Status Slip and keep it for departmental screening.
▪ Proceed to pay the Acceptance Fee on the E-Tranzact platform in any commercial bank or UNICAL Microfinance Bank.

Checking Admission Status – Guidelines

E-Tranzact Option:
▪ Available in all commercial banks nationwide
▪ Pay and obtain an E-Tranzact PIN
▪ With the PIN, log into the portal https://www.myunical.edu.ng, click the UTME Admission Screening link, and follow the portal instructions after login

Buy Admission Status Checker Pin Online Option:
▪ Purchase the Admission Status Checker Pin from the portal
▪ Login with the Transaction ID as the PIN into the portal

Scratch Card Option (Calabar only):
▪ Unical Microfinance Bank
▪ Wema Bank
▪ First City Monument Bank
▪ Heritage Bank
