UNICROSS Admission List 2025/2026 is Out [UPDATED]

The Cross River University of Technology (UNICROSS), formerly known as CRUTECH, has released its admission list for the 2025/2026 academic session for both UTME and Direct Entry candidates.

How to Check Your Admission Status

The primary way to check your admission status is through the JAMB Portal. Follow these steps:

▪ Visit the JAMB e-facility portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.

▪ Log in with your JAMB username and password.

▪ Scroll down and click on the 'Check Admission Status' tab.

▪ Click on 'Access my CAPS'.

▪ Set your browser to 'Desktop site' by clicking the three-dotted lines in the top-right corner.

▪ Click on 'Admission Status' to view your result.

Possible Outcomes on the JAMB Portal

▪ CONGRATULATIONS: This means you have been offered admission. You should accept or reject the admission on the portal and await further instructions from the university.

▪ Admission in progress: Your status is still being processed. Be patient and check back in a few days or weeks.

▪ Not Admitted: While this may be a setback, the article advises you to remain hopeful as there might still be a chance for admission.

The university's own admission portal at https://portal.unicross.edu.ng/ is also expected to be updated with the list soon.

Understanding Your Admission Status

The article provided a great overview of the three main statuses you can see on the JAMB portal, but here's a more detailed breakdown of what each one means and what your next steps should be:

▪ "CONGRATULATIONS, you have been offered admission." 🎉

This is the best-case scenario. It means your hard work has paid off. Your immediate next steps are crucial:

1. Accept the Admission: Log in to your JAMB CAPS account and click the "Accept Admission" button. This is a vital step to secure your spot.

2. Print Your Documents: After accepting, you should be able to print your JAMB Admission Letter and Result Slip. Keep multiple copies of these safe.

3. Await School's Screening: UNICROSS will announce a date for physical screening. This is where you'll present all your original documents for verification.

▪ "Admission in Progress" ⏳

Don't panic! This is a normal stage in the process. It simply means that JAMB has forwarded your details to the university, and the school's admission board is currently reviewing your file. It could take a few days or even a couple of weeks, so patience is key. Just check back regularly.

▪ "Not Admitted" 🙏

While this can be disappointing, it's not the end of the road. There are a few reasons this could happen, and a few options you can explore:

1. A Second Batch List: Many universities, including UNICROSS, release multiple admission lists. There's a chance you could be on a second or supplementary list.

2. Change of Course: If you didn't meet the cut-off mark for your first-choice course, you might be offered admission into an alternative, less competitive program. Keep an eye on your JAMB CAPS for any such notifications.

3. Consider Next Year: If all else fails, you can prepare for the next JAMB exam. Use this time to get a head start on studying and improving your scores.

Essential Documents for Physical Screening

When it's time for the physical screening at UNICROSS, you'll need to have the following documents ready. It's a good idea to gather them now so you're not rushing at the last minute.

▪ Original and several photocopies of your O'level results (WAEC, NECO, GCE, etc.).

▪ Your JAMB Admission Letter.

▪ Your JAMB Result Slip.

▪ The school's post-UTME result slip.

▪ Passport photographs.

▪ Your birth certificate or age declaration.

▪ A certificate of state/local government of origin.

▪ Any other documents specified by the university.
