NCDMB 9th National Essay Competition 2025 is Out [UPDATED]

 

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has announced the 9th National Annual Undergraduate Oil & Gas Essay Competition for 2025. The competition aims to promote the Nigerian Content (NC) initiative.¹

Competition Details

▪ The contest is open to 100-200 level students in public and private universities and polytechnics in Nigeria.

▪ The essay topic for 2025 is: “Sustaining Local Content Policies in The Transforming Oil And Gas Industry”.

▪ All submissions must be original works and not exceed 1,500 words.

▪ Entrants must submit either a letter of admission or a signed letter of attestation from their Head of Department (HOD).

▪ The competition opens on August 1, 2025.

▪ The deadline for all submissions is August 31, 2025.

▪ Click on "Submit Essay," fill in the required inputs, and paste your essay content.

▪ Do not include personal details like your name, phone number, or university within the essay content itself, as this will lead to disqualification.

Prizes

The winners will receive the following prizes:

▪ 1st Prize: N1,000,000

▪ 2nd Prize: N700,000

▪ 3rd Prize: N500,000

▪ The top 10 national finalists will each receive a laptop.

▪ The award ceremony will be held on September 26, 2025.
