LASU Pre-Degree Form 2025/2026 Session is Out [UPDATED]

 Pre-Degree Studies (PDS) Admission for 2025/2026 Academic Session

1.0 PREAMBLE

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Lagos State University Pre-Degree Studies (PDS) Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session.

▪ The programme runs for one (1) academic session: October 2025 – September 2026.
▪ It is designed for candidates with deficiencies in O’Level results to re-sit SSCE/NECO and prepare for UTME.
▪ The programme takes place at LASU Epe Campus.
▪ All admitted students are required to reside in the school hostels throughout the programme.

2.0 WHY PRE-DEGREE STUDIES (PDS)?

▪ Regular JAMB applicants often struggle with admission.
▪ PDS candidates who pass JAMB gain access through the LASU PDS quota.

2.1 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

▪ Minimum of three (3) credit passes in subjects such as Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Government, Economics, Literature in English, CRS, IRS, and Accounting.
▪ Results must be obtained in not more than two sittings (SSCE, GCE, or NECO).
▪ Shortlisted candidates will write a qualifying examination.

Subjects Offered in PDS:
Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Government, Economics, Literature in English, CRS, IRS, Accounting.

3.0 CRITERIA FOR TRANSITIONING TO 100 LEVEL

▪ Candidates must sit for UTME and obtain the minimum JAMB cut-off mark.
▪ Candidates must also pass LASU’s screening test.
▪ All deficient O’Level subjects must be cleared in WAEC/NECO before progression.
▪ Successful candidates will be admitted into 100 Level in faculties such as: Engineering, Science, Management Sciences, Education, Social Sciences, Law, Agriculture, Transport, Mass Communication, Nursing, Dentistry, and College of Medicine.

4.0 METHOD OF APPLICATION

▪ Application Fee: ₦15,000 only.

▪ Visit www.lasu.edu.ng → Select MAKE PAYMENT to pay the application fee.
▪ After payment, candidates must proceed with online registration.

5.0 CLOSING DATE

▪ Six (6) weeks from the date of publication (29th September 2025).

6.0 QUALIFYING EXAMINATION & INTERVIEW

▪ Date will be announced later.

7.0 DISCLAIMER
