FUNAAB to Open Chinese Language School in Ogun State

 

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is planning to establish a Chinese Language School. This school will serve as a hub for language and cultural exchange in Ogun State and beyond. The announcement was made by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Babatunde Kehinde, during a visit from the Chinese Consul General in Lagos, Ms. Yan Yuqing.

Goals and Collaboration

The proposed school aims to strengthen FUNAAB's existing partnership with China in areas such as agriculture, trade, culture, and education. The university hopes to explore new avenues for collaboration to advance academic excellence and socio-economic growth.

In response, the Chinese Consul General praised FUNAAB's potential and pledged to support the following:

▪️ Linkages with agricultural institutions in China.

▪️ Research collaborations and seminars.

▪️ Enhanced laboratory connections.

▪️ A charity program for low-income students and staff.
