LASUSTECH State of Origin Verification Exercise (SOVE) 2025/2026 | Registration & Documentation

All candidates of Lagos State origin who chose Lagos State University of Science and Technology as their First Choice in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and scored a minimum of 195 and Direct Entry applicants are hereby informed of the commencement of the State of Origin Verification Exercise (SOVE) for the 2025/2026 admission exercise.

The SOVE Registration Exercise will start on Monday, 30th June, 2025 and close on Friday, 18th July, 2025.

The Verification Interview will run from:

Monday, 21st July, 2025 to Friday, 26th July, 2025

The interview date for each candidate will be specified on the application form.

• The SOVE does not guarantee or serve as proof of admission into the Lagos State University of Science and Technology.

Method of Application

Candidates are to make a payment of Five Thousand Naira (₦5,000.00) only to Lagos State University of Science and Technology through the following link:

General Information

▪ ONLY candidates of Lagos State Origin are eligible for the screening exercise.
▪ These candidates must be CLEARED by the State of Origin Verification Committee (SOVC) BEFORE processing their POST UTME Screening forms.

Documents Required for the SOVE Verification Process

• - Photocopy Of Applicant's Birth Certificate  
• - Photocopy Of Father's Birth Certificate  
• - Evidence Of Title To Landed Property (Preferably Long-Standing, Over 50 Years)  
• - Written Testimony From The Relevant Oba Confirming Indigene Status  
• - Written Testimony From The Secretary Of Your Local Government Area  
• - Certificate Of Origin Issued By Your Local Government  
• - Original Jamb Result  
• - O’Level Result  
• - Recent Passport Photograph
• - Online SOVE Registration Form Slip 
• - Online SOVE Registration Payment Receipt 

Important Notice for Applicants

Please note that only candidates of Lagos State origin are eligible for the verification exercise.

You must be cleared by the State of Origin Verification Committee (SOVC) before you can process your Post-UTME screening form.

Do not make any payments to individuals or accounts other than through the specified link. Any payments made outside of the official link are at your own risk.
