LASUED AGGREGATE SCORE CALCULATION (WITH WEIGHTING SYSTEM)

Weighting System:

• UTME Score contributes 50% of the total aggregate.
• O'Level Result contributes the remaining 50%.

Both components are standardized to a maximum of 50 points each, giving a total aggregate score out of 100.

Formula:

Aggregate Score = (UTME Score / 8) + O'Level Aggregate (out of 50)

1. UTME SCORE COMPONENT (50%)

Your UTME score is out of 400. It is scaled to 50 points using the following calculation:

UTME Score / 8

Example: If your UTME score is 256, then 256 / 8 = 32 points.

2. O'LEVEL RESULT COMPONENT (50%)

You use the best 5 relevant subjects (including English Language and Mathematics). Grade points are assigned as follows:

Grade	Point
A1	10
B2	9
B3	8
C4	7
C5	6
C6	5
D7–F9	0

The maximum obtainable O’Level score from these 5 subjects is 50 points.

Example: If your grades are A1, B3, B2, C5, C4, then your total O'Level points would be:

10 (for A1) + 8 (for B3) + 9 (for B2) + 6 (for C5) + 7 (for C4) = 40 points.

FINAL EXAMPLE CALCULATION:

Let's say your UTME Score = 256 and your O’Level Total = 40.

UTME Component: 256 / 8 = 32 points

O’Level Component: 40 points

Your LASUED Aggregate Score = 32 + 40 = 72
