How to Calculate Your LASU Aggregate Score [Updated]

LASU has updated its aggregate formula for 2025 admission screening which now uses a 60:40 Weighing system.

60% from JAMB/UTME

Multiply your UTME score by 60, then divide the result by 400.

(Your UTME Score × 60) / 400

40% from O’Level

Points are awarded based on the grades in your best 5 relevant subjects.

Sum of 5 Subject Points

One Sitting

B2	7 points

Two Sittings

Grade	Points
A1	7.7 points
B2	6.7 points
B3	5.7 points
C4	4.7 points

C6	2.7 points

Important Note

Only the best 5 relevant subjects are graded. Any subject with D7, E8, or F9 will not be counted and scores 0 points.

Two Sittings Policy

We strongly advise against using two sittings. If you must, note that 0.3 will be deducted from each subject's base score. This affects your final aggregate and may lower your chances.

Example Calculation

UTME Score: 256

Calculation: (256 × 60) / 400 = 38.4

O’Level Grades (One Sitting): A1, B2, B3, C4, C5

Points: 8 + 7 + 6 + 5 + 4 = 30
