UNILAG JUPEB Admission Form 2026/2027 Is Out [UPDATED]

UNILAG JUPEB Form: UNILAG Foundation Admission Form for 2026/2027 Academic Session is now on sale. The closing date is Friday, 21st August, 2026

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates into the School of Foundation Studies, University of Lagos for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Highly successful candidates after the approved examination administered by the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) are eligible for consideration for Direct Entry admission into 200 Level degree programmes of the University through JAMB.

Successful candidates may also be considered for admission into partner universities abroad.

The programme is strictly non-residential and currently does not have facilities for the visually impaired.

The School of Foundation Studies provides an intensive one-year programme based on the JUPEB syllabus according to approved subject combination groupings.

▪ Closing Date: Friday, 21st August, 2026

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION DETAILS

▪ Date: Saturday, 5th September, 2026

▪ Venue: Distance Learning Institute (DLI) and Adetokunbo Babatunde Sofoluwe Centre for Information Technology and Systems (ABS-CITS), University of Lagos

▪ Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

▪ All questions are multiple choice

▪ Total Questions: 85

▪ Duration: 45 minutes

EXAMINATION SUBJECTS

▪ Mathematics — 20 questions

▪ English Language — 20 questions

▪ Three other relevant subjects based on candidate’s chosen subject combination — 15 questions each

▪ Candidates with Mathematics as one of their JUPEB subject combinations must choose Further Mathematics in the entrance examination combination

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

▪ Minimum of five (5) O’Level credits obtained in one sitting

▪ Compulsory subjects must include:
▪ English Language
▪ Mathematics
▪ Three other relevant subjects

▪ Accepted results: SSCE/WASSCE, GCE O’Level, or NECO

▪ Results must be available before registration

▪ Candidates must ensure they have credit passes in the three JUPEB subject combination subjects at O’Level

APPLICATION FEE

▪ ₦35,000 (excluding bank charges)

▪ Fee is non-refundable

HOW TO APPLY

▪ Visit the School of Foundation website: https://foundation.unilag.edu.ng

▪ Visit the application portal: https://applications.unilag.edu.ng

▪ Click on Start a Fresh Application

▪ Under prospective students, select School of Foundation Studies

▪ Read the information on subject combinations relevant to your proposed course of study

▪ Complete the pre-application form using names exactly as they appear on your National Identification Number (NIN) slip

▪ Ensure name arrangement matches NIN, Birth Certificate, and O’Level result

▪ Generate a Payment Reference Number (PRN)

▪ Make payment at any commercial bank in Nigeria

▪ Return to the portal after payment

▪ Log in using your PRN and your surname in lowercase as password

▪ Complete the application form

▪ Print two copies of the completed application form

▪ Examination pass will be sent to the email provided one week before the examination

▪ Print and bring the examination pass to the examination venue

▪ Admission into undergraduate programmes is based on approved departmental quota/capacity

▪ Success in JUPEB does not automatically guarantee admission into preferred course of choice

▪ The university may conduct additional screening or apply other selection measures where the number of successful candidates exceeds available quota

▪ The programme is strictly non-residential

▪ The programme currently does not have facilities for the visually impaired
