UNIVERSITIES THAT ACCEPT 140, 150, 160, 180, 200 AS CUT-OFF MARK [UPDATED]

A comprehensive list of Universities that Accept 140, 150, 160, 180, and 200 as Cut-off marks. If you find this page helpful, don’t forget to share it with friends

Your JAMB result is finally out and you want to know if you have a chance of gaining admission with your score. So you searched for schools that accept your score as cut-off marks. And boom, google showed you this page, welcome!

We won’t just show you a random list, we will show you the ACCURATE list of Universities that accept 140, 150, 160, 180, and 200 as their cut-off marks. This list is based on the 2024/2025 session (ie. last session).

That’s because as of the time of updating this page, SCHOOLS have NOT released their cut-off marks for the 2025/2026 Academic Session. Schools will only release their cut-off marks after the JAMB 2025 Policy Meeting

This is the meeting that determines the minimum cut-off marks for all schools in Nigeria. For now, no date has been fixed for the meeting yet.

Understanding Cut-Off Marks: How They Work for Nigerian Universities

  • A university’s cut-off mark is the minimum JAMB score required for a candidate to be considered for admission. While some programs with high demand (like Medicine, Law, and Engineering) require higher scores, other programs may accept lower scores, depending on institutional requirements and yearly adjustments.
  • Each year, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) holds a Policy Meeting to set the minimum cut-off mark for institutions nationwide. Universities then adjust their cut-off requirements within this national framework, which means that the 2024/2025 cut-off marks may change based on this year’s Policy Meeting. For now, reviewing last year’s cut-offs provides a reliable idea of what to expect this year.

Important Note: Higher Scores for Competitive Courses

  • While some universities may accept lower JAMB scores, competitive courses often require higher scores. For instance, if your chosen course is highly sought-after, like Medicine or Law, it’s best to aim above the general cut-off mark for that institution.
  • This means, depending on this year’s cut-off marks, the list may change or remain the same. So, while the universities below may increase or reduce their cut-off marks, it will DEFINITELY give you an idea of what this year’s cut-off mark will be like.

For instance, if last year, a school only accepted 200 as their cut-off marks, it’s almost impossible for that school to accept 140 as cut-off mark this year.

Also, if a school usually accepts 150, it’s almost impossible for them to start accepting 200 as cut-off mark this year.

You get the point right…?

It’s also very important to note that for some schools on this list, though they accept low JAMB scores as their JAMB cut-off mark, you may still need a higher score for a competitive course.

Now, without wasting much time, let’s show you the list!
